Mike Budenholzer Suspended 1 Game for Making Contact with Official
Atlanta Hawks head coach Mike Budenholzer has been suspended one game by the NBA for making contact with an official during Friday's contest against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Per SB Nation's Harry Lyles Jr., the NBA officially announced Budenholzer's suspension will be served during Sunday's game against the Indiana Pacers.
Budenholzer has a habit of losing his cool during games against the Cavaliers. The NBA previously fined him $25,000 when he made incidental contact with an official in November 2015 during a loss to Cleveland.
This time around, Budenholzer was upset when Cavaliers star LeBron James appeared to push off on Hawks forward Kent Bazemore but wasn't called for an offensive foul.
The official was moving down the court with his back to Budenholzer, who was directly behind him and bumped his chest into the official's back while shouting at him. He was called for a technical foul.
The Hawks' 135-130 loss to the Cavs dropped their record to 34-27. They occupy the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference, trailing the Washington Wizards and Toronto Raptors by 2.5 games.
