The ESPN.com report noted it was the Cirque le Soir club in Soho that turned away the Saints players, even though they had reservations. The club later denied the allegations in a statement to TMZ:
"We proudly celebrate diversity, not only as part of our shows, but as part of who we are. We would not dismiss anyone as 'too urban' and we would not turn anyone away on the basis of their ethnicity, sexuality or any other characteristic—other than those expressed in our door policy."
TMZ's report also stated that the club has a door policy that allows the staff to deny entry to "male heavy entourages."
Ingram indicated that body size was apparently an issue for the club even though he is listed at 5'9" on the Saints’ official roster, while Bell is 5'11", Moore is 5'10" and Webb is 5'11".
Despite the incident, the players seemed to enjoy the rest of the trip, given that Ingram tweeted that he loved England, adding "Everyone in England has been amazing so far!!! This was our first #TooUrban encounter entire trip!"
The Saints players will face the Miami Dolphins in London during the 2017 season, and Ingram made sure to tweet about how much he is looking forward to that game and overall experience.
