Antonio Brown, Steelers Reportedly Making 'Significant Progress' on New Contract
The Pittsburgh Steelers and All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown are reportedly making "significant progress" toward a contract extension as he approaches the final year of his current deal.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the two sides are working toward a big-money contract with the goal of coming to an agreement by March 9.
As things currently stand, Brown is set to make $4.71 million in base salary in 2017, per Spotrac.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
He can become a free agent following the 2017 season, but both Brown and the Steelers have expressed interest in striking a long-term deal.
Brown told Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman he's a "Steeler for life."
One week after that, in a meeting with reporters, Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert expressed his desire to keep Brown in the fold for a long time to come: "I can say unequivocally we want [Brown] to retire as a Steeler."
While productive, Brown has not been without controversy. That was on full display following Pittsburgh's playoff win over the Kansas City Chiefs when he live-streamed head coach Mike Tomlin's postgame speech on Facebook Live.
Despite the occasional headaches, Brown is arguably the NFL's best wideout.
He has caught at least 100 passes in four consecutive seasons and is coming off a campaign that saw him register 106 receptions for 1,284 yards and 12 touchdowns.
The 28-year-old is a five-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro First Team selection.
Brown is potentially in line to land the richest wide receiver contract in NFL history.
