Manchester City Transfer News: Sergio Aguero Reportedly Wants Real Madrid Move
Sergio Aguero reportedly wants to swap Manchester City for Real Madrid this summer.
The Sun's Neil Ashton exclusively reported as much, with the Argentinian unhappy at playing second fiddle to Gabriel Jesus at the Etihad Stadium and eager to join Los Blancos at the end of the season.
The Spanish side are equally keen but will need to fork out "over £60 million before City even consider selling Aguero to a [UEFA] Champions League rival."

Aguero's position at City has come under threat since the arrival of Jesus in January, with the Argentinian initially sidelined in favour of the Brazilian.
However, Jesus fractured a metatarsal earlier in February and now looks set to be out for two months, per Goal.
Aguero has been restored to the starting lineup in the interim and thus far has taken his chance to shine, grabbing two goals and an assist in City's 5-3 win over AS Monaco on Tuesday.
As noted by Goal's Sam Lee, the forward showed off his work rate, much to manager Pep Guardiola's delight:
The brace took Aguero to 20 goals for the campaign in 29 appearances, and it brought him ever closer to another significant milestone at the Etihad, per journalist Shane Burns:
"With 156 goals, Sergio Aguero is just 23 goals away from becoming Manchester City's all-time record goalscorer. #mcfc

The forward made over 200 appearances for Atletico Madrid prior to joining City. However, he may have no qualms about joining their bitter rivals after Los Rojiblancos president Enrique Cerezo hinted he would not be welcomed back with open arms because of the manner of his exit, per El Partidazo de COPE (h/t ESPN FC's Dermot Corrigan).
Real have relatively little need for Aguero, despite his status as one of the best strikers in world football, because they already have Karim Benzema and Alvaro Morata competing for game time up front.
That said, the former has netted just once in La Liga since October—albeit he has netted seven goals in that time in all competitions—while the latter isn't yet that prolific despite his considerable talent.
Coupled with Real's desire for Galactico-style signings, it wouldn't be too surprising if they pursued Aguero, particularly if one or both of Benzema and Morata were to depart.
After the Monaco match, the Argentina international reiterated his desire to stay at City, per Lee:
While Jesus is perhaps an all-round better fit for Guardiola's system, to sell one of the world's best players when he wants to stay at the club would be a courageous if risky decision from the manager—though it's one he has form for as he sold the likes of Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto'o while at Barcelona.
Aguero will retain his place in the team for much of the remaining campaign at least, and he still has the chance to continue proving his worth to the team with goals and more over the coming months.
