Lyon Reportedly Sue 15-Year-Old After Memphis Depay, Alexandre Lacazette Selfie

Christopher SimpsonFeb 27, 2017

One young Lyon fan received more than he bargained for after taking a selfie with Alexandre Lacazette and Memphis Depay on the pitch at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais on Feb. 19, as the club is reportedly set to sue him.

BT Sport's Julien Laurens reported as much on the channel's European Football Show on Sunday (h/t The Sun's Sam Street):

"

This young boy is 15. He wanted to celebrate with his heroes [Depay] and [Lacazette] after they scored their fourth goal against Dijon last week.

So he ran on the pitch, took a selfie with Lacazette and now Lyon are taking him to court, suing him!

He said 'I was so happy, I didn’t really think' and now he has to meet the club in court.

Laurens also quipped, "I think you need to kick out the hooligans from stadiums."

The Sun Football shared the selfie the fan took:

During the match, Lyon came from 2-1 down to beat Dijon 4-2, with Lacazette netting his side's third from the penalty spot before Nabil Fekir rounded out the scoring in the 90th minute.

The game marked Memphis Depay's first full match since joining from Manchester United in January, and the Dutchman took to Twitter afterwards to celebrate:

Lyon are fourth in Ligue 1, 16 points behind AS Monaco and 13 behind Paris Saint-Germain and Nice, so qualification for the UEFA Champions League appears out of reach even though they have a game in hand.

Their next match will see them take on fifth-placed Bordeaux away. A win would leave them seven points clear of Les Girondins and go some way to assuring them of qualification directly to the UEFA Europa League group stage.
