Amir Khan, Manny Pacquiao Fight Agreement Reports Are 'Bulls--t,' Says Bob Arum
Reports that Manny Pacquiao will take on Amir Khan in a fight to be staged in the UK are "total and complete bulls--t," according to Top Rank CEO Bob Arum.
Per Edward Chaykovsky of Boxing Scene, Filipino legend Pacquiao, 38, is set to meet Australian Jeff Horn in his next bout, and Arum told the Courier-Mail the links to Khan were not true: "The Amir Khan story has come out of nowhere. It is total and complete bulls--t."
The Times' Ron Lewis reported that "terms for the contest were agreed" between eight-division champion Pacquiao and 30-year-old Brit Khan.
He added that Khan has "been chasing a bout against Pacquiao or Floyd Mayweather for years."
However, it seems the Bolton-born fighter will have to carry on waiting for the chance to face one of the era-defining duo, especially as Mayweather is currently retired.
Pacquiao briefly called time on his glittering career after his victory over Timothy Bradley in April 2016.

However, he returned to the ring in November with a victory over American Jessie Vargas to take his professional career record to 59-6-2.
Per Chaykovsky, his next clash against Horn is all but agreed except for the location.
It was initially supposed to take place at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium, but Dubai is now being considered, said Arum, via Chaykovsky: "What's happening is that Manny is talking to these people in Dubai who have offered him an insane amount of money. Whether (the offer) is real or not real; he is determined to explore it to see if it has any validity. That's all I can say."
Khan stepped up to middleweight for his last fight as he was knocked out in the sixth round by Mexico's Saul "Canelo" Alvarez in May.
The Briton made a good account of himself against Alvarez and a fight against Pacquiao would be the biggest clash of his career, but it seems Khan will not be meeting Pac-Man any time soon in the ring.
