Demaryius Thomas Comments on Broncos' QB Situation, Offensive Outlook
The Denver Broncos are facing more questions than your average defending Super Bowl champion after basically replacing their entire quarterback stable, though the turnover isn't scaring star wide receiver Demaryius Thomas.
Speaking to reporters following Denver's OTA session on Thursday, per Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post, Thomas said having more time to work together will make building rapport easier for everyone:
"Oh we’re not worried. We still got time. These guys are going to be fine. (Mark) Sanchez has won playoff games. I can’t say much about (the experience of) Paxton (Lynch) and Trevor (Siemian), but they’ve been great so far. So we’ll be fine. We got playmakers around them and coaches will put them in the right situation, and of course we’ve still got our great defense.

The Broncos lost Peyton Manning to retirement and Brock Osweiler to the Houston Texans as a free agent. General manager John Elway has done a good job of supplementing the group so the cupboard isn't bare heading into next season.
Denver acquired Mark Sanchez in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles and drafted Paxton Lynch in the first round after the team traded up to get him. It's not the most dynamic group, although Lynch has the upside to be a good starting quarterback with the proper development.
Thomas did admit that having new quarterbacks presents a different challenge while preparing for the upcoming season: “All of them can make every throw, but it’s a little different going with somebody new. I’ve been with Peyton for the last four years, and of course I had Brock as well. But it’s like my first time going with any of them.”
In terms of developing chemistry with the quarterbacks, Thomas said it comes down to "more repetition." The Broncos haven't officially announced who their starter will be when the season begins on September 8, though ESPN.com's Jeff Legwold did note it would be wrong to dismiss Trevor Siemian in the race:
Thomas praised Siemian's work dating back to last season. "He always had a great ball and poise, made good decisions," the wideout said. "He tried not to turn the ball over, and that’s what the offense wants and the head coach wants.”
A lot of things are going to be said and written about the Broncos quarterbacks for the next three months until head coach Gary Kubiak makes a decision.
The good news for whoever is under center for the Broncos in Week 1 is he will have weapons like Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders and C.J. Anderson to help ease the pressure.
It also doesn't hurt having a defense that shut down Tom Brady and Cam Newton in the playoffs and helped the Broncos win their third Super Bowl.
