Michael Conforto Suffers Wrist Injury After Being Hit by Pitch vs. Giants
New York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto left Sunday's game with a wrist injury after being hit by a pitch.
X-Rays came back negative and Conforto has been diagnosed with a contusion, per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com.
San Francisco Giants starter Matt Moore hit the left-hander on the hand, and while he showed signs of injury, he remained in the game. As Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News noted, he left one inning later before he could bat again.

He was 0-for-2 before leaving the game.
Conforto struggled mightily last season when he slashed .220/.310/.414 in 109 appearances, but he's rebounded nicely in 2017.
Now 69 appearances into his third season with the Mets, Conforto is slashing .285/.405/.548 with 14 home runs and 41 RBI.
"His confidence is sky-high. He’s not overthinking anything. He’s swinging at good pitches, basically staying in the middle of the field. That’s his strength," hitting coach Kevin Long said, per the New York Post's Fred Kerber. "He’s got such tremendous power to all fields, he never has to worry about pulling the baseball."
Based on the way he's performed at the plate to this point in the season, Conforto would be a major loss for a Mets team that has already encountered its fair share of injury woes in 2017.
Should Conforto hit the disabled list, Yoenis Cespedes projects as the Mets' everyday left fielder alongside Curtis Granderson and Jay Bruce. Brandon Nimmo, who replaced him in the lineup Sunday, could also see additional playing time.
