T.Y. Hilton, Donte Moncrief, Griff Whalen Post-Week 9 Fantasy Advice
The Indianapolis Colts offense looked refreshed in its first game under new play-caller Rob Chudzinski.
Even in an incredibly tough Week 9 matchup against the Denver Broncos' elite defense, exceptional ball distribution by quarterback Andrew Luck allowed five different players to record multiple receptions.
T.Y. Hilton, Donte Moncrief and Griff Whalen all made significant plays during a 27-24 Colts victory. Although none of them found the end zone, the forthcoming fantasy advice should be taken while bearing in mind how stout Denver's secondary is.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
T.Y. Hilton
| 5/6 | 82 | 0 | 8 |
The Colts have been inconsistent all year long, and Hilton's results have been of the boom-or-bust variety. Even his best game, versus New Orleans, featured 150 yards and two touchdowns—but with only four catches on 15 targets.
It's too early to tell what Chudzinski's presence will do for Hilton, but his tendency to involve tight ends may open up the speedy wideout for additional underneath routes and opportunities in space.
ESPN's Adam Schefter provided an update on Hilton prior to Sunday's kickoff that makes his outing look more impressive:
Hilton has WR1 upside, but he has to be healthy and on the same page with Luck to be endorsed as more than a WR2. Indianapolis will have a bye in Week 10 before facing an Atlanta Falcons secondary that yielded two TD passes to Blaine Gabbert on Sunday, so Hilton should be a trendy starter.
Donte Moncrief
| 3/4 | 30 | 0 | 3 |
The second-year pro appeared to be separating from Hilton as the Colts' No. 1 receiver at the dawn of 2015 but has dropped off since a promising start.
It's tough to gauge Moncrief since the Colts have changed offensive coordinators and faced Carolina and Denver in the past two weeks. During that stretch, Moncrief has managed to record five meager receptions for 48 yards. On the bright side, he has logged a touchdown in five of nine contests this year.
Moncrief's fantasy production heavily depends on finding paydirt. The 22-year-old has demonstrated a nose for the end zone, but he's hardly more than a flex option in any format.
With Hilton likely drawing Falcons star cornerback Desmond Trufant, though, Moncrief may be the man to turn to in the Colts passing game in Week 11.
Griff Whalen
| 5/6 | 73 | 0 | 7 |
An injury to rookie first-round pick Phillip Dorsett and lackluster performances by aging veteran Andre Johnson gave Whalen increased opportunities Sunday. He took advantage of them, but there are better flex fliers on the Colts.
Tight ends can be a bargain in the flex spot, particularly when there are two capable pass-catchers on one team. Such is the case with Coby Fleener and Dwayne Allen, but the former has produced more thanks to history with Luck that dates back to college and Allen's blocking prowess.
Fleener is the No. 3 option to go after in Indianapolis. Chudzinski oversaw the breakout stardom of Jordan Cameron for the Cleveland Browns in 2013 and fostered the development of San Diego Chargers legend Antonio Gates as a position coach.
Something similar may be in store for Fleener for the rest of 2015, which limits Whalen's fantasy ceiling.
