WWE NXT Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments from October 28
Since its inception, NXT has always been able to rely on one Superstar to consistently deliver inside the squared circle, to provide fans with a quality match regardless of who his opponent was. He was the cornerstone of the brand, the one constant at a time when talent was regularly coming and going to and from the main roster.
His name is Tyler Breeze, and Wednesday night he wrapped up his stint in WWE's developmental program with another strong performance against Samoa Joe.
The two brought an end to their brief vendetta, with Joe's picking up the win and sending Prince Pretty off with a loss.

The defeat does not hurt Breeze, though. If anything, he lost more than he ever won in NXT, but he remained over with the fans, who recognized that he would recover in short order with another stellar performance and further dedication to his character.
Now a part of Raw and SmackDown, where he has been paired with the leggy Summer Rae to feud with Dolph Ziggler, Breeze has finally seen his dream of participating on the flagship shows of Vince McMahon's company become a reality.
He was the biggest winner from Wednesday night's WWE Network broadcast but hardly the only one. Two Divas made their presences felt, and a tag team made it abundantly clear that it's gunning for the top prize in that division.
Then there was the loser, a respected veteran worker whose work around the world earned him rave reviews but whose stint in NXT to this point has not been everything it was expected to be.
Winners: The NXT Divas
Losing Sasha Banks, Charlotte and Becky Lynch in one fell swoop would have doomed any other female roster in professional wrestling. Their contributions to NXT are the stuff of legend, with their special live event matches forever changing the perception of women's wrestling on the national stage.
That is why fans were understandably hesitant about the future of the Divas division in NXT when they realized those three women would no longer be a regular part of the Wednesday night show.
No problem, though, as Triple H and Company have done a fantastic job of replenishing the roster with characters and wrestlers who can continue to carry on the legacy they left behind.
Nia Jax is a dominant and destructive Diva, and Asuka is a dangerous and unstable competitor. There is the vindictive and manipulative Alexa Bliss and the devious duo of Emma and Dana Brooke. Even fairly new additions to the roster such as Peyton Royce and Billie Kay figure to play major roles in the coming months.
And then there is Eva Marie, who for all of the harsh criticism has shown significant growth as an in-ring performer in the few opportunities she has had to compete inside the NXT ring.
The state of women's wrestling in NXT is fantastic, especially with Bayley at the helm.
Loser: Samoa Joe
It is difficult to look at a guy who won the main event of Wednesday's show and consider him a loser, but in the grand scheme of things, he most certainly is. Despite his victory, Joe is still just a guy in the NXT Universe. He has no real character to speak of, that is, other than "the celebrated indy guy." Worse yet, he is regularly overshadowed by characters much more interesting than him.
Finn Balor, Apollo Crews and even Baron Corbin are all younger stars who are more intriguing and entertaining to watch at this point than the aging Joe.
Sure, his in-ring work is still solid, and he has demonstrated more motivation recently than in months past, but that does not make up for the fact that the character is missing an edginess that helped define it for so many years.
There have been hints that that could change, especially in the brief moments of dissension that existed between him and Finn Balor at TakeOver: Respect, but until that is paid off, Joe will continue to be a guy devoid of direction or character development.
Winners: Chad Gable and Jason Jordan

The most over act in the NXT Arena Wednesday night was, without a shadow of doubt, Jason Jordan and Chad Gable. The tag team made up of amateur wrestlers has caught on with the audience, leading to the biggest pop of this week's broadcast.
The two wrestled a fantastic match against veteran indy stars Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano, all the while injecting the broadcast with an energy that only they can provide. They work like two younger versions of Kurt Angle, tossing opponents around the squared circle with suplexes and even mimicking some of the mannerisms that the Olympic gold medalist made famous.
Gable is a star in waiting, a performer so jacked up on charisma that the fans recognize it and are ready to see him ascend the ladder as quickly as humanly possible.
But do not forget Jordan, whose charisma is more understated but who has a fantastic look and is clearly one of the more talented workers on the roster.
There are big things awaiting the team, especially as NXT's tag team division undergoes a revamp.
