WWE Hell in a Cell 2015: Card Predictions Including Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar

The Doctor Chris MuellerOct 24, 2015

WWE Hell in a Cell is on Sunday, and like most pay-per-view events, this one has the potential to be a fantastic show based on the card WWE has put together.

Every title is on the line, two matches will take place inside the Hell in a Cell structure and John Cena will face a mystery opponent in one of his United States Championship Open Challenges.

The big attraction for this show will be Brock Lesnar versus the Undertaker. This will be the first time Taker has competed at this event since 2010, and it's possible this year will be the last time he ever does.

Eight matches are booked for Sunday night. Let's take a look through the card and try to make some logical predictions.

Dolph Ziggler, Cesaro and Neville vs. Rusev, Sheamus and King Barrett

A different match was originally scheduled for the Hell in a Cell Kickoff, but WWE was forced to make some changes, so we now have a six-man tag match.

Dolph Ziggler will team up with Neville and Cesaro to take on Rusev, Sheamus and King Barrett. These six men have all faced each other many times, so the chemistry has already been established.

Out of all the bouts, this might be the hardest one to predict because there's nothing on the line other than pride and there's no real storyline behind it.

The good thing is with this much talent in the same place at the same time, you don't need a good reason for them to fight other than knowing they will produce some great moments.

Since this will be the match that sets the tone for the rest of the night, the smart call is to have the babyfaces win, but it could go either way.

Kevin Owens vs. Ryback (Intercontinental Championship)

This one is much easier to predict than the six-man tag. Kevin Owens just won the IC title from Ryback at Night of Champions in September. It wouldn't make sense for him to drop the belt back to the Big Guy right away.

Owens is one of the best heels on the roster right now, and having him hold the IC title will not only help legitimize him but help make the midcard scene more interesting.

Ryback is someone who seems to always be on the cusp of breaking through to the next level, but for whatever reason, he continues to linger in the middle of the card.

Putting over Owens is what's best for everyone because, in the end, Ryback's momentum won't suffer from the loss.

Charlotte vs. Nikki Bella (Divas Championship)

Like Owens, Charlotte just won her belt at Night of Champions. She hasn't had enough time with the title to be considered a legitimate champion, and that is why she is going to walk out with her reign intact.

The Divas Revolution has started to slow down a bit, but we all knew that would happen. You can only keep nine women in the same storyline relevant for so long.

Unless WWE decides to swerve everyone and have Paige cost Charlotte the match, Miss Flair will walk out with the Divas title still around her waist.

The New Day vs. The Dudley Boyz (Tag Team Championships)

Since The Dudley Boyz returned to the company after SummerSlam, they have been chasing the New Day and the Tag Team Championships.

Bubba Ray and D-Von were unsuccessful at Night of Champions and the live special from Madison Square Garden, but Hell in a Cell will be their night.

If the goal was to have the Dudleys put the New Day over, it was accomplished the second time they failed to win the titles.

Even if they drop the belts back to Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E a month later, the best thing is for Bubba and D-Von to win the Tag Team Championships.

John Cena vs. TBD (U.S. Championship)

We don't know the Superstar Cena will be defending his U.S. Championship against on Sunday, but the most likely outcome is Cena leaves without the title.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t F4Wonline), Cena is rumored to be taking time off after Hell in a Cell, and taking the belt with him wouldn't help anyone.

Cena gets a lot of flak for always defeating people the fans think deserve a push, but that just makes it so much better when he finally does put someone over.

Whoever ends up challenging Cena for the title on Sunday will get a huge boost because they are going to end up walking out as the new United States champion.

This would be the perfect scenario for a Superstar from NXT to debut on the main roster. Someone such as Finn Balor would the perfect candidate to dethrone Cena.

Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt (Hell in a Cell)

Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt have been feuding on and off for two years. It started when the Shield and the Wyatt Family were fighting to see which was the more dominant stable, but it has turned into a more personal fight between these two men.

WWE has been hyping this as the final chapter in this story. While it's more than likely they will have more matches in the future, it appears they will focus on other opponents after Sunday.

Wyatt always seems to be winning the mental battle, but Reigns tends to win the actual matches. While it would be nice to see Wyatt go over in this situation, Reigns is the safer bet.

It's obvious Reigns is still looked upon as a future champion by management, and having him win a Hell in a Cell match is a great way to keep him looking strong until he can re-enter the hunt for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Seth Rollins vs. Kane (WWE World Heavyweight Championship)

Kane returned recently with a whole new attitude and what appears to be a split personality. This change in character has allowed him to show off his more humorous side while still donning the mask and wrestling as the Demon.

However, that doesn't mean he is going to walk out of Hell in a Cell as the new champion. As important as Kane has been to WWE for the past two decades, he has never been looked at as someone capable of being the top dog.

Rollins needs this win to help wipe away some of his more cowardly victories. He's an outstanding wrestler, but he hasn't been booked as a strong champion.

He will take a lot of punishment from the Big Red Monster, but when it's all said and done, Rollins will leave Hell in a Cell with that big, ugly belt around his waist.

Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker (Hell in a Cell)

Brock Lesnar and the Undertaker will be facing each other in what is being billed as the last match they will ever have against each other.

When Lesnar broke the Undertaker's streak at WrestleMania 30, he did what everyone thought was impossible. It seemed like the Streak was a bigger prize than any title in the business, and many were upset a part-timer was the one to break it.

Taker got a small measure of revenge when he defeated Lesnar at SummerSlam, but the victory was controversial because he had clearly tapped out before the referee counted Lesnar's shoulders down for the pin.

The Undertaker has done everything there is to do in this business, and at this point in his career, it seems like he is content to give back to the company by putting others over.

It's possible someone will interfere on the Undertaker's behalf to set up Lesnar's next feud, but the more probable outcome is the Beast Incarnate will leave Hell in a Cell with another win over the Dead Man.
