Jets' Ivory Records Consecutive 140-Yard Rushing Games
New York Jets running back Chris Ivory rumbled for 146 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries in Sunday's 34-20 win over the Washington Redskins, becoming the first Jets player since Freeman McNeil in 1985 to run for 140 or more yards in consecutive games, per ESPN Stats & Info.
Following a 29-carry, 166-yard showing in a Week 4 win over the Miami Dolphins in London, the 27-year-old Ivory came out of his bye week with another gem of an outing.
In addition to averaging 7.3 yards per carry, he caught three passes for 50 yards in a Jets romp, finishing with a career-best 194 scrimmage yards.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Ivory has 83 carries for 460 yards (5.5 yards per carry) and four touchdowns through the Jets' first five games, putting him on pace for 266 carries, 1,472 yards and 13 touchdowns, even though he missed one game with an injury.
If his per-game averages were prorated to a full 16-game season, he'd have 332 carries for 1,840 yards and 16 touchdowns.
In an era dominated by pass-catching backs, Ivory has emerged as one of the league's more valuable players at his position despite catching just six passes through four games.
He isn't quite Adrian Peterson, but Ivory is still one of few backs with enough pure running ability that anything he adds in the passing game is just a bonus.
