WWE Raw Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments from October 12
To say The New Day has experienced a whirlwind of a push over the last three weeks would be an understatement of massive proportions.
After evolving into the most entertaining midcard act on the entire roster, the trio has found itself thrust into main events, working with the biggest stars in the industry.
One week after Big E nearly wrestled the United States Championship away from John Cena, he and Kofi Kingston defeated Randy Orton and Dean Ambrose to kick off the October 12 episode of Monday Night Raw.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
It was yet further evidence of just how valuable WWE Creative considers the heel faction.
Xavier Woods was brilliant outside the squared circle, channeling his inner territory manager and yapping while his cohorts squared off with two of the most popular stars on the roster.
Add to that The New Day's prominent place in the Lumberjack match between Kane and Seth Rollins later in the broadcast and you had yet another episode of WWE television in which the driven young stars established themselves as the night's biggest winners.
They were not the only ones, though.
From John Cena and Dolph Ziggler to Summer Rae, numerous Superstars and Divas earned consideration for this week's winner's list.
Who were not so lucky, which confirmed their status as losers from Raw?
Winners: Dolph Ziggler and John Cena
The United States Championship Open Challenge was once again home to a show-stealing bout as Cena continued to establish 2015 as one of the best in-ring years of his acclaimed and decorated career.
After being attacked by The New Day and having his opportunity to capture the gold ruined last week, Dolph Ziggler took to the squared circle in front of the impassioned Chicago fans and delivered a fantastic performance that re-established the in-ring chemistry that exists between him and WWE's franchise star.
Cena may have emerged victoriously, but subtle hints throughout the match suggested that Ziggler may be en route to a heel turn.
From raking the eyes before delivering a devastating superkick to the post-match facial expressions that suggested Ziggler was frustrated and angry about the loss, WWE planted the seeds for The Showoff to enjoy a push as a villain in the coming weeks and months, if Creative opts to head in that direction.
Only time will tell, but it is impossible to suggest that Cena and Ziggler were losers after the phenomenal wrestling match they delivered Monday night.
Losers: Sheamus and Cesaro
Who would have ever believed that Sheamus and Cesaro would be "the other guys" in a tag team match designed to shine the spotlight on the lower midcard rivalry between Neville and King Barrett?
Yet, that is the position the fantastic in-ring workers found themselves in as WWE Creative continues to allow them to wallow away. They are lost in the shuffle and without any discernible direction.
That neither really played much of a role in the match only hurt matters.
It was almost as if the writing staff recognized the importance of getting them both on the show but could not be bothered to develop a story or quality feud for them. Instead, Creative simply tossed them into a meaningless tag match.
Sheamus and Cesaro deserve better, both as a reward for their work and to ensure the protection of their heat and characters going forward.
Unfortunately, that does not seem to be on the itinerary for WWE Creative, which is much more concerned about overexposing Kane in countless backstage segments.
Winner: Summer Rae
There have not been many positives to come out of the Dolph Ziggler-Rusev nonsense. One, though, has been the consistently great performances by Summer Rae, who has seized the opportunity to prove herself a valuable character on Raw and SmackDown and has made the absolute best of it.
Has the material always been the best? No, but she has not been afraid to humiliate herself at the right time. She has also proved to be vindictive and angry when necessary.
Monday night, she broke it off with Rusev amidst the revelation that The Bulgarian Brute had gotten engaged to Lana over the weekend. Calling him a "bastard" and storming off, she showed great emotion.
It remains to be seen how WWE Creative follows up the latest development and what it has in store for Summer going forward. One thing is for certain, though: It would be a mistake to take her off television, given how well she delivered when called upon over the last four months.
