Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
With so many NXT Superstars and Divas having momentous evenings, there were plenty of winners.
But which performers were less lucky, landing on the loser side of things?
Find out with this look back at the latest extravaganza presented by WWE's developmental brand.
Winners: Bayley and Sasha Banks
There was tremendous pressure on Sasha Banks and Bayley—the first women to ever main event a major WWE production—to deliver a phenomenal match that rewarded the trust placed in them by Triple H and NXT management.
Not only did they live up to the hype, but they also exceeded expectations, wrestling a Match of the Year candidate that was both the perfect follow-up to their classic in Brooklyn and a masterful piece of storytelling.
With Banks a fixture on the main roster and Bayley continuing the women's wrestling revolution on Wednesday nights, it is likely that they have seen the end of their rivalry for the time being.
If so, they wrapped things up with a match of epic proportions.
Loser: Tyler Breeze
Despite Tyler Breeze's string of outstanding performances and his status as the one constant of NXT, the fans inside Full Sail University did not believe for a second he actually had a chance to beat Apollo Crews, and that is a major problem for his credibility.
Breeze is always presented as one of the top stars of NXT but rarely wins the big matches. Thus, when it came time to ask fans to buy into the near-falls he was perpetrating, the audience was silent. It was a major disappointment for someone who has worked so hard for the brand but has seen his peers promoted over him.
Breeze was the biggest loser on a night of great celebration.
Winner: Asuka
The Japanese newcomer was immensely impressive in her debut match, a victory over Dana Brooke. Her body language, facial expressions and character traits accentuated her performance, making it an even greater success.
She was crisp and energetic and never appeared to be intimidated by the stage she found herself on.
That the character has direction and a teased match with Emma helped make the debut a phenomenal one.
The impending matches with Bayley should be great fun for the brand devoted to building the reputation of women's wrestling in the states.
