Walker's Injury Leaves Detroit Thin at DT
With Walker and Haloti Ngata both on the shelf, the Lions are looking at Gabe Wright, Caraun Reid and Jermelle Cudjo to hold their own on the defensive front versus the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5.
The Lions—the NFL’s only winless team—also lost Ngata in Monday night’s loss.
Walker, a former undrafted free agent who spent the last three seasons with the New Orleans Saints, signed with the Lions in March to complement high-profile acquisition Ngata in an attempt to replace four-time All-Pro nose tackle Ndamukong Suh, who left via free agency for a lucrative contract with the Miami Dolphins.
Walker has recorded just four tackles and two assists in four games this year.
