Mookie Betts Injury: Updates on Red Sox Star's Concussion and Return
Boston Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts was placed on the seven-day concussion disabled list on July 29, but returned to the lineup on Aug. 11 against the Miami Marlins.
Gordon Edes of ESPN Boston confirmed he would bat leadoff and play center field.
Betts suffered the injury on July 28 as he attempted to make a terrific catch in the sixth inning against Jose Abreu of the Chicago White Sox, running full speed onto the warning track before leaping over the fence to avoid a full-on collision with the wall. He was taken out of the game after that moment.

"His headache has disappeared," manager John Farrell said, via Brian MacPherson of the Providence Journal on Aug. 2. "Even when he says he runs up stairs, there's no dizziness, there's no pressure in the head. That wasn't the case two days ago."
The 22-year-old Betts has shown great progress as this season has gone on, hitting .265/.317/.438 in 97 games, so the Red Sox were smart to play things cautiously with him.
Betts has been able to endear himself to Boston fans with his hard play, as evidenced by the effort against Abreu and some time he missed in June after running into the wall in center field.
