Giants Parade 2014: TV Schedule, Start Time and Live Stream for Celebration

Sean ODonnellOct 30, 2014

The San Francisco Giants put on a resplendent performance Wednesday, defeating the Kansas City Royals by a score of 3-2 in a thrilling World Series Game 7 to notch their third championship in the last five years. It appears as though a parade is in order.

San Francisco is no stranger to parades thanks to a continuously great Giants team, and the city will be getting another on Friday, according to a statement from mayor Ed Lee, via NBCBayArea.com.

Said Lee: "This world-class organization brought our city together as only our hometown heroes can. San Francisco waits with giant anticipation for the return of our hometown team so we can celebrate as one city with a parade down Market Street to welcome them home."

KANSAS CITY, MO - OCTOBER 29: Bruce Bochy #15 of the San Francisco Giants celebrates with The Commissioner's Trophy in the locker room after a 3-2 win over the Kansas City Royals in Game Seven of the 2014 World Series at Kauffman Stadium on October 29, 2

Get ready to celebrate the Giants' championship season with a city-wide bash on Friday, as San Francisco welcomes home MVP Madison Bumgarner, Pablo Sandoval, Hunter Pence and all of the title-winning team.

The parade will be held on Halloween morning, but we should expect to see far more treats than tricks in this spectacle. Team officials have been hard at work planning the route and, judging by a high amount of previous experience, it should go off without a hitch.

Expect the event to last roughly four hours, with the parade culminating in speeches from members of the team and city officials in front of San Francisco City Hall. However, watch out for the weather, as the forecast is currently calling for some morning showers on Friday.

SF Giants on CSN tweeted the coverage start time in case you aren't willing to brave the wet conditions:

There's plenty more to celebrate than the World Series title, as a couple players also came away with huge individual performances, setting new postseason and championship series records.

Bumgarner was absolutely the hero of the World Series for San Francisco, and he received the MVP award to show for it. After pitching seven strong innings in Game 1 and a complete-game shutout in Game 5, he went five innings, allowing just two hits and zero runs in Game 7 on limited rest to earn a save.

SportsCenter tweeted a word that sums up the pitcher's performance perfectly:

Here's an impressive stat line that led to a huge achievement for the southpaw, via ESPN Stats & Info:

For as good as Bumgarner was on the mound, Sandoval was equally as good at the plate.

The third baseman had a phenomenal postseason. He was able to hit practically any pitcher he faced along the way, and following a three-hit Game 7, he posted a new playoff record, according to MLB Stat of the Day:

Sandoval scored two of San Francisco's three runs on Wednesday, and, fittingly, he also caught the series-clinching out when Salvador Perez hit a pop foul near third base. ABC News tweeted a picture of Sandoval's amazing reaction:

While Sandoval and the Giants already did some celebrating of their own right away in Kansas City, you have a chance to be a part of a momentous occasion when this team returns home to San Francisco. This is one event you won't want to miss.
