Clemson Football: Game-by-Game Predictions for the Month of November
The month of October gave Clemson Tigers fans a few scares, and it doesn’t get any easier in November with games against Georgia Tech and South Carolina.
Luckily for the Tigers, quarterback Deshaun Watson will be back at some point next month. That is very good news, as the offense has produced just 33 combined points in Cole Stoudt’s two starts.
Clemson still has a lot to play for at this point, with the opportunity for an 11-win season still there. Also, if Florida State makes the playoff, Clemson would be in solid position to represent the ACC in the Orange Bowl.
That’s enough talk about bowl games, though, because the Tigers have a couple of challenges ahead of them next month.

The Demon Deacons are simply still in the long process of rebuilding. First-year coach Dave Clawson has provided optimism, but the talent level just isn’t there right now. According to Scout.com’s rankings, Wake Forest has finished No. 64 and No. 61 in the 2014 and 2013 recruiting cycles, respectively.
The Tigers will likely be without Watson under center, but one would think the offense could get out of its slump in this game. Don’t expect a ton of points, though, as the Demon Deacons are only giving up 24.6 points per game.
The Wake Forest offense is where the separation will occur, as it only averages 14.8 points per game. The Tigers haven’t allowed over 17 points in four straight weeks, so this game shouldn’t give Clemson fans too much to stress about.

You probably don’t need me to remind you that the Tigers have had trouble playing Georgia Tech on the road lately. Clemson has traveled to Georgia Tech four times since 2003, and all four times have resulted in a Yellow Jackets victory.
Paul Johnson’s group has played well this season, maybe saving his job for at least another year. They are averaging 326.1 yards per game on the ground and sit at 6-2 through eight games.
The wild card for this game is obviously whether Watson plays. This game has a different feel to it either way, and I don’t see either team winning by more than one score.

The timing of this game couldn’t get much better. After playing a physical Georgia Tech team on the road, the Tigers get to come home and get some guys healthy before taking on in-state rival South Carolina.
No disrespect to Georgia State, but Clemson should be able to pull its star players after halftime and get them physically ready to take on the Gamecocks.

The Gamecocks aren’t having the kind of season they had hoped for, but they are still a very dangerous team. Steve Spurrier always brings his best game plan against the Tigers, and we will likely see every trick he has up his sleeve.
The defense has been suspect in Columbia, but the Ol’ Ball Coach knows how to get the most out of his offense.
South Carolina is averaging 35.1 points per game right now, and the Gamecocks are very balanced in their attack. Quarterback Dylan Thompson has thrown for 20 touchdowns, and running back Mike Davis has proven to be one of the nation’s best, rushing for 750 yards.
With Watson leading the offense and the way the Tigers are playing defensively, this could be the year they break the streak. I expect this game to stay very close with the Tigers pulling away in the end.
