
European Team of the Week: Dusan Tadic Edges Sergio Aguero for Lead Role
Dusan Tadic is WhoScored.com’s European player of the week after the Serbian played the lead role during Southampton’s 8-0 trouncing of Sunderland, bagging a goal and registering an astonishing four assists in a 10-out-of-10 performance.
Tadic was brought in for his creative qualities and his four assists in a single match was the most in a Premier League game since Santi Cazorla provided the same amount in Arsenal’s 4-1 win over Wigan in May 2013.
Premier League counterpart Sergio Aguero also takes his place in the team of the week on account of his blistering display against Spurs.

The Argentine scored all four of his side’s goals in Manchester City’s 4-1 win at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, taking 11 shots on goal in total—more than any other player in a single Premier League match this term.
Despite seeing his penalty saved, Aguero did enough to warrant a WhoScored.com rating of 10 and it’s fair to say the 26-year-old is the best striker in England’s top tier at present.
Aguero is partnered by youngster Paulo Dybala in attack after the Palermo star’s match-winning performance in a 2-1 win over Cesena.

Nicolas N’Koulou completes the defence after his display in Marseille’s victory at the weekend. L’OM secured a 2-0 win at the expense of Toulouse as Marcelo Bielsa’s side tightened their grip at the summit of Ligue 1.
The Cameroonian netted the opener in the league meeting and made two tackles, four interceptions and four clearances to guarantee a clean sheet and all three points.
Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris takes his place between the sticks in the European team of the week.

Despite shipping four goals at Manchester City, Spurs would easily have lost by more had it not been for their French stopper.
Lloris made an impressive eight saves in the fixture, including a penalty stop to deny Aguero in the first half, whilst also making two cross claims, with the France international certainly Spurs’ standout performer on the day.
