Seattle Seahawks vs. St. Louis Rams: Live Score and Analysis for St. Louis
The St. Louis Rams (2-4) managed to upset the Seattle Seahawks (3-3) for their second victory against Seattle since 2010 and just the third since 2005.
St. Louis got off to a roaring first-half start and took an early 21-3 lead at one point. A little trickery on a punt return had the Seattle coverage team faked out, allowing Stedman Bailey to rip off a 90-yard punt-return touchdown.
Seattle answered back with a field-goal, but the Rams entered the half with a comfortable 21-6 lead.

The Seahawks woke up in the third quarter and scored two unanswered touchdown in the second half. The St. Louis lead dissolved to two points, but the Rams answered back with an Austin Davis touchdown pass to Lance Kendricks, giving St. Louis a 28-19 lead.
Seattle got the ball back with about four minutes on the clock. The Rams went to a prevent defense, which allowed Russell Wilson to march the Seahawks downfield with ease. He hit Doug Baldwin for a score, making it a two-point game once again with about three minutes on the clock.
The Rams were pinned deep in their own territory and needed several first downs to run out the clock. Seattle stopped the Rams, who were faced with a fourth-and-three at their own 18, but a fake punt allowed St. Louis punter Johnny Hekker to pass for a key first down.
Had the Rams failed to convert on the fake punt, it would have given Seattle the ball at the St. Louis 18 in a game where a field-goal wins it. It was risky, but considering how poorly the Rams defense was playing that late in the game, it was a necessary risk.
Tre Mason then ran for a game-winning first down. He fumbled on the play and nearly coughed up the game, but the Rams managed to recover and take a knee.
This was a huge victory for the Rams, who now trail Seattle by just one game in the NFC West standings. If this game sparks a run, they still have a shot at catching San Francisco and Arizona, who are both just two games ahead.
Thank you for following, and be sure to stop by next week when the Rams hit the road to take on the Kansas City Chiefs.
