Le'Veon Bell, LeGarrette Blount's Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 5
Le’Veon Bell has been a fantasy football machine at times this season for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but the Jacksonville Jaguars kept him in check for the most part Sunday. Here is a look at the final stats from Bell and fellow running back LeGarrette Blount:
| Rushes | 15 | 8 |
| Rushing Yards | 82 | 29 |
| Rushing Touchdowns | 0 | 0 |
| Yards per Rush | 5.5 | 3.6 |
| Long Run | 29 | 9 |
| Catches | 5 | 3 |
| Receiving Yards | 36 | 17 |
| Targets | 6 | 3 |
| Receiving Touchdowns | 0 | 0 |
The fact that Bell did not find the end zone against a weaker opponent is concerning for fantasy owners. Still, Bell had more than 100 rushing yards in two of Pittsburgh’s first four games and was heavily involved in the passing game early in the season.

Owners should not be worried about Bell's long-term production.

As for LeGarrette Blount, he was also stifled by the Jacksonville defense Sunday. Blount is inherently more risky than Bell when it comes to fantasy football because he doesn’t see anywhere near the amount of carries, but Blount does have two rushing touchdowns to Bell’s one on the season.
Still, Bell had just as many carries in the season opener (21) as Blount did on the whole season entering Week 5.
The Steelers were a top-five rushing team in the NFL after four games and will ride Bell all season. Blount’s only real value comes if and when he can find the end zone, since he just doesn't get the number of carries needed to be a reliable fantasy option.
