Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Smith was brutally efficient in picking apart the Patriots secondary, which had a tough time dealing with a slick field at Arrowhead Stadium. With three touchdowns and nearly 250 passing yards after just over three quarters of play, the excitement in Kansas City was palpable, although it got a little out of hand on Twitter, as CBS Sports' Pete Prisco noted:
The NFL on ESPN highlighted how great Smith has been in his last two Monday night performances:
Bowe caught five passes for 81 yards in the first half, but was nowhere to be seen after that. That being said, the game was a foregone conclusion by the midway point of the third quarter, such were the Patriots' struggles.
The Boston Globe's Ben Volin noted he benefited from some favorable matchups:
Smith has tossed six touchdowns and zero picks in the past two weeks and could be a great QB2 in dual-quarterback leagues or a spot starter on a bye week. He's never been one to light up the scoreboard, so fantasy owners should be wary of his potential long-term production.
If he's somehow available, he should definitely be added to the roster. The Chiefs have an interesting Week 5 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. If Smith plays well in that game, then he could be the surprise fantasy starter of the season. He could also be an excellent trade piece considering his short-term value may never be any higher after two outstanding weeks of play.
Bowe's performances are likely to fluctuate along with Smith's, although to a lesser degree as the main wide-receiver threat on the team. He got off a slow start to the season with just three catches in each of his first two games, but he may finally be back to full strength after terrorizing Darrelle Revis for much of the game.
However, fantasy owners should be wary of his lackluster 2013 production. Look to utilize him as a WR3 or flex option from here on out.
