Each Team's Best Moment During the NBA Playoffs so Far

James PearsonJun 3, 2018

The 2013 NBA Playoffs have not disappointed basketball fans.

They have been exciting and filled with thrilling games and story lines. From the Chicago Bulls and Brooklyn Nets triple overtime battle, to the New York Knicks winning their first playoff series since 2001; the Golden State Warriors amazing run, to now having the three small-market teams and the Miami Heat remaining, it's been everything we could have asked for.

And every team has had a special moment so far.

While there is still plenty of basketball ahead, here is every team's highlight for the postseason to date.

Golden State Warriors: The "Just Us" Huddle

1 of 16

Gosh, there are so many moments to choose from.

But really, for most Warriors fans just being there was enough.

They witnessed Stephen Curry do his thing, saw the entire team rally around David Lee after he was essentially lost for the postseason, had Andrew Bogut finally give Golden State what it was waiting for all this time and watched Harrison Barnes grow up before their eyes so quickly.

They got all they could have hoped for.

After enduring so much losing over the years, the fans deserved a run like this. Even after being eliminated, the Golden State faithful were as loud as ever.

What a moment when Curry and the entire team had a "Just Us" huddle with the crowd. The end of their postseason just may be the start of something special.

Denver Nuggets: Andre Miller Lays in the Game Winner

2 of 16

Andre Miller can still ball.

Even at age 37, he is still one of the best backup point guards in the NBA.

In Game 1, he posted 28 points on 68 percent shooting, one of the finest performances of his career.

A game winning shot at the buzzer capped off his wonderful performance. After this, the Denver Nuggets looked like they were going to take control of the series.

Looking back, it should have been easy to see they weren't. The Nuggets needed a career game from their 37-year-old backup point guard to defeat the sixth seed by two points at home, a place where they lost just three times all year.

In the end, they will always remember Miller's performance that night.

Memphis Grizzlies: Tayshaun Prince Throws It Down

3 of 16

The Memphis Grizzlies have had an impressive postseason. They defeated the Los Angeles Clippers by winning four straight after dropping the first two games.

Then, after losing the first game to the Oklahoma City Thunder, they went on to win four straight to advance to the Western Conference Finals.

Each game in round two was competitive, but it all but ended after this dunk by Tayshaun Prince. He all but killed Oklahoma City's spirits and elevated Memphis into the next round.

Plus, who knew Prince had this much lift left? That made this all that much more exciting and surprising!

San Antonio Spurs: Manu Ginobili's Game Winning Three

4 of 16

It's hard to call this Manu Ginobili's best shot of his career because he has had so many, but this was a big one.

If he missed this, who knows if the San Antonio Spurs would still be alive?

After sweeping the Los Angeles Lakers, the Spurs got everything they could handle from the Warriors. In the end they outplayed them and deserved to advance. But if Manu doesn't hit this shot things could be very different right now.

Los Angeles Lakers: Moments Before the Opening Tip of Game 1

5 of 16

The Los Angeles Lakers had a rough season and really went through a lot. At least before this series started they had a clean slate.

They survived the firing of their coach after five games, the injury to Steve Nash for the better part of the season, and then having Pau Gasol go down too. They had their "star" center Dwight Howard hobbling around all season as he was coming off back surgery—although they asked for that one. And lastly they had a devastating injury to Kobe Bryant all but end their season.

At least they ended up making the playoffs.

That saved themselves a lot of embarrassment. Even if that's exactly what they suffered through against the Spurs.

Los Angeles Clippers: Chris Paul's Game Winning Shot

6 of 16

You can argue that not offering Vinny Del Negro a contract extension in what technically still is the postseason is the Los Angeles Clippers' best moment, but Chris Paul's game-winner at the buzzer of Game 2 is easily their finest hour.

Not only was this exciting, but it held home-court advantage for them and had Clipper fans excited about what could be.

Things didn't turn out so well for them in the end, but they will always have this great shot by Paul.

Chicago Bulls: Nate Robinson's Bank Shot

7 of 16

In what turned out to be a thrilling series, in which the "winner" got to play the Miami Heat, the Chicago Bulls and Brooklyn Nets sure did give us a thrilling Game 4.

Chicago had a resilient postseason led by Nate Robinson, who was fantastic for the entire first-round series. He had a handful of clutch shots, but none was as exciting as this bank shot to put the Bulls up by two in what turned out to be one of the better games we have seen thus far. They ended up winning the game and the series thanks in part to this shot.

While the Bulls did beat Miami in Game 1 of the second round, really they were just delaying the inevitable.

Brooklyn Nets: Joe Johnson's Game Tying Shot

8 of 16

This was a thrilling game.

The Nets did put up quite a fight in this series. After falling behind 3-1, they forced a Game 7, at home no less. Things didn't work out so well, but it had been a while since the franchise had tasted the playoffs and it's not like the Bulls were a typical five seed.

Brooklyn gave it a good go.

When Nets fans look back at this postseason, Joe Johnson's jumper after watching Robinson's bank shot go through was as exciting a moment as their is for the Nets, as it led to the thrilling triple overtime game.

Milwaukee Bucks: Brandon Jennings Bucks in Six Call

9 of 16

This pick is a little condescending, but really, what else are we going to remember about the Milwaukee Bucks and the 2013 NBA Playoffs than Brandon Jennings guaranteeing his team would win in six games even after they were down 0-2?

For a player whose team got swept and lost every game by double digits you have to admire his confidence. At the least, maybe they can carry that over to next season.

While there weren't many highlights to choose from, we will always remember the Bucks-in-six proclamation.

Oklahoma City Thunder: Kevin Durant's Game Winner

10 of 16

Kevin Durant was hitting shots all postseason long, well except for his last game, but none was bigger than his game winner against the Grizzlies in Game 1 of round two.

It's what kept them from getting swept.

Durant and the Thunder had a lot on their shoulders after Russell Westbrook went down, but they all gave a great effort.

This shot by Durant had Thunder fans believing just maybe they could advance without their star point guard. It didn't happen, but it was still a exciting moment.

Miami Heat: Game 1 Loss to the Chicago Bulls

11 of 16

Their worst moment may just end up being the one they needed most.

What better time than in round two against a depleted Bulls team to get a wake-up call?

Sure, this is not the most exciting moment for them in the playoffs, but it just might be the most important. After being defeated at home, the Heat came back to win Game 2 by 37 points on their way to winning four straight games.

That loss might have been the one that catapults numerous big moments for the Heat ahead.

New York Knicks: When the Buzzer Sounded in Game 6 Against the Boston Celtics

12 of 16

When Game 6 against the Boston Celtics ended, the New York Knicks could call themselves playoff winners for the first time since 2001.

They did everything they could to try to spoil a 3-0 series lead, but in the end they were victorious. It had been a while, but they got that postseason monkey off their back. Once the sting of losing to the Indiana Pacers wears off, this win could be remembered as the stepping stone for more playoff victories to come.

Atlanta Hawks: After Tying the Series Against the Indiana Pacers

13 of 16

You have to hand it to the Atlanta Hawks.

After essentially starting over to build for the future by unloading Joe Johnson, their top scorer from last season, the team still rallied for a six seed.

That's even after they lost Lou Williams to a season-ending surgery.

Embarrassed by Indiana in the first two games, the Hawks came back to win two straight and proved that they at least belonged in the postseason.

Indiana Pacers: Roy Hibbert's Block on Carmelo Anthony

14 of 16

Defense epitomizes the Indiana Pacers, and this block by Roy Hibbert says it all.

The Knicks went on a three-pointer barrage in Game 6 at Indiana, doing everything they could to force a Game 7 in Madison Square Garden.

Then, about the time that Carmelo Anthony likes to take over, Hibbert had another idea. This block looked like it actually killed Melo's and the Knicks' spirits as it helped guide the Pacers into the Eastern Conference Finals.

Houston Rockets: Carlos Delfino's Dunk over Kevin Durant

15 of 16

The Houston Rockets squeaked into the postseason and made the most of their opportunity. They captured two games against the defending Western Conference champions, and the most emphatic play was Carlos Delfino's and-1 over Durant.

In what was a surprisingly exciting first-round battle, the Rockets showed that they are going to be a team to be reckoned with for years to come. This play invigorated the Rockets and it was just as surprising to see anyone, especially a three-point shooter, dunk over Durant.

Boston Celtics: Kevin Garnett's Jumper as the Shot Clock Expired

16 of 16

This shot by Kevin Garnett allowed the Boston Celtics to take Game 4 and help prove that they were not just going to lie down. After falling behind 0-3, it would have been easy for a veteran squad to wilt, especially in the first round, but Garnett and company would not let that happen.

He did what he does best here, hitting a 20-foot jump shot as the shot clock expired. This galvanized the team and put a scare at the least into the New York faithful.
