Jerry Sandusky Trial: Former Penn State Coach Hopeful for More Information
Jerry Sandusky and his lawyers want to learn more about the testimonies against the former Penn State Nittany Lions coach. We'll find out later this week if he gets his information or not.
According to the Associated Press, Sandusky's lawyer, Joe Amendola, has a filed a motion to obtain secret grand jury testimonies.
In doing so, this will help them prepare for the main trial on the 52 criminal counts Sandusky is charged with for allegedly sexually abusing young boys.
This Friday, there is a hearing to address what Sandusky and his people want, as well as his request to change his bail conditions so he may have contact with his grandchildren.
Amendola seeks the transcripts of the testimonies of witnesses for extra knowledge on the case. That way, when he calls them to the stand, he has a better idea of what to say and what not to say.
Court trials are never any fun, even if you receive the verdict you want and someone goes away for a long time. Just being there puts a damper on your mood, and the Sandusky trial will be no different. In fact, it might be one of the worst court rooms to ever be in once it begins.
This is all an unfortunate series of events, and the hope is that justice is served if he's found guilty.
It's uncertain if the judge will grant Sandusky's request for the transcripts, and if they don't get them it will make things harder for the team of the alleged child molester.
