Any major sporting event, worldwide, gets me a little excited.

Whether it's the Super Bowl or a big match in the Barclay's Premier League, I am watching it, and I am following it.

When I remembered that 2011 marks the return of the FIFA Women's World Cup, I didn't know how I would react. Would it blow over my head like news of the ongoing NFL lockout? Or would I start bleeding red, white, and blue like I did last year for the FIFA Men's World Cup?

The answer has been the latter, and here are four (somewhat important) reasons why.

4. Hope Solo on the Field

She throws her body around like it's a rag doll. Watching her play, you would assume she has no bones in her body. Her passion for the game is addicting, and her intensity is horrifyingly enticing.

To see a beautiful women such as Solo play a sport with such will and grace—well, that is truly an amazing thing to watch.

What a name too: Hope Solo. Wow.

3. Hope Solo off the Field

Hope is stunning. She has a strong jawline, intense blue eyes, and a look that is mysterious, enticing, and intimidating all at the same time.

To make every man's lust even more uncontrollable, she has a curvaceous, lean frame that most girls envy, while still packing on enough muscle to kick most people's butts.

And just when you think she is all tough and intense, Hope has the sweetest, most endearing voice.

I'm sold.

2. Alex Morgan on the Field

The 22-year-old forward from California is making a name for herself on the international circuit. She has eight US team goals, and five of those have come past the 80th minute.

Talk about clutch.

It's clear she still needs to gain some experience, as she missed a few very good opportunities in the semifinal match versus France, yet that is to be expected with a player as young as Morgan.

We will be watching Morgan tear up the field and her opponents for a while to come.

And seriously, does anyone in women's soccer look as cute as Morgan ON the field? Pink sports bra and a pink headband? That's just killer.

I would like a Fanta.
I would like a Fanta.

As a college student myself, I have three wishes.

1. I wish I went to Cal with Alex Morgan.

2. I wish I was a charismatic and talented soccer player who could woe her.

3. Or, I just wish I could just see her in person.

I published an article in May about summer sporting events and how Alex Morgan was my new crush. That's an understatement now. I have been browsing Amazon for Alex Morgan posters. This girl is a beauty, and I would love to meet her off the field and see what she is like (or what she is wearing).

Alex Morgan, if you are reading this, just comment "I do."

Seriously, the Whole Team Is Great

While many of you are justifiably writing off this article as a lusty piece of male desire, don't take me too seriously.

Alex Morgan and Hope Solo do happen to be both amazingly gifted athletes and knockout beauties, yet every girl on the US Women's Soccer team in my opinion is beautiful for playing with such passion and representing my great country.

I commend them all and wish them the best of luck versus Sweden/Japan.

For the second summer in a row, I bleed red, white, and blue.
