PSG will travel to the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday to take on Arsenal for the top spot in Group A, one of the groups where the two teams to advance to the knockout stage have been decided.

The two giants lead Ludogorets Razgrad and FC Basel by nine points and have a major advantage in goal difference. With jst two matches left to play, Basel and Razgrad will battle it out for third place and a ticket for the UEFA Europa League.

For both teams, though, survival isn't enough. On paper, winning the group should lead to an easier path to the latter rounds, although that may not automatically be the case this season. Top clubs such as Real, Juventus and Bayern Munich sit second in their respective groups.

PSG haven't been nearly as dominant in Ligue 1 this season as they have been in years past, but the visitors enter Wednesday's clash in fine form.

Arsenal dropped points on Saturday, playing out a 1-1 draw at Manchester United, and manager Arsene Wenger acknowledged his team wasn't good enough, per the club's official Twitter account:

A win over PSG could be just the momentum-booster the Gunners need with the busy holiday season on the horizon.

Real cruised to a 3-0 win over rivals Atletico Madrid in La Liga on Saturday, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, who added yet another hat-trick to his impressive collection. Los Blancos were far from their best, but they did a great job limiting Atletico in midfield and made the most of their chances.

Real Madrid's Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates after scoring his third goal during the Spanish league football match Club Atletico de Madrid vs Real Madrid CF at the Vicente Calderon stadium in Madrid, on November 19, 2016. Real Madrid won

Sporting played them close the last time these teams met at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, and with Borussia Dortmund hosting lowly Legia Warsaw, Los Blancos can't afford to drop points in Portugal.

Per Squawka Football, Real's form suggests they should be fine:

Spurs find themselves outside of the top two spots in Group E and face a difficult trip to Monaco on Tuesday. The hosts have lost just two matches in Ligue 1 all season and sit level on points with PSGand they've been just as good in Europe.

Tottenham has been a remarkably resilient team so far this season, and they still haven't lost in the Premier League. Their come-from-behind win over West Ham United on Saturday was hardly impressive, but it did highlight the fighting spirit Spurs show every week.

Defensively, Spurs rank among the top clubs on the continent, conceding just eight goals in the league. They'll have their hands full with a familiar face, however, per the Champions League's official Twitter account:

Juventus rested a handful of starters in the routine 3-0 win over Pescara and will be full of confidence when they visit Sevilla, while Bayern Munich travel to Russia to take on FC Rostov. The Bavarians lost their last Bundesliga match against Dortmund and find themselves in second place in both the domestic league and their Champions League group, something the fans aren't used to.
