Champions League 2016: Live Stream, TV Info, Matchday 4 Schedule and Predictions

Tom SunderlandOct 30, 2016

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola welcomes former employers Barcelona to the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday as Matchday 4 of the 2016-17 UEFA Champions League gets underway.

The Citizens are in need of a win if they're to have any hope of topping Group C, whereas three points could be enough to see the Blaugrana secure first place with two matches remaining.

Elsewhere, a return meeting between Tottenham Hotspur and Bayer Leverkusen at White Hart Lane promises fireworks on Wednesday, and Olympique Lyonnais will attempt to do what they could not in their most recent Champions League fixture: beat Juventus.

Barcelona Complete Manchester City Rout

The wounds will still be fresh for City following their 4-0 humiliation at Barcelona's hands on Oct. 19, but Guardiola's men need a quick recovery when the Blaugrana make their way to Manchester.

While the Catalan gaints were dominant at the Camp Nou, however, a 1-0 win over Granada on Saturday was far from their most confident display. Kieran Canning of AFP gave City a glimmer of hope:

Citizens captain Vincent Kompany was an unused substitute in their 4-0 hammering of West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, and Guardiola's hopes of restraining Barca could rest on whether his centre-back is fit to start on Tuesday.

Barcelona have some notable injuries of their own, including Gerard Pique and Andres Iniesta. Goal's Ben Hayward also highlighted the difference made by Sergio Busquets' omission on Saturday:

Busquets should be brought back into manager Luis Enrique's starting XI for the game in Manchester, however, meaning the Catalans will have their passing metronome back where he belongs in midfield.

All City's resources may not be enough to hold back a fit MSN trio, though, as Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar threaten to make a difference whenever they play.

Prediction: Manchester City 1-3 Barcelona

Tottenham Home Comforts Trump Leverkusen

Leicester City's Italian manager Claudio Ranieri (L) and Tottenham Hotspur's Argentinian head coach Mauricio Pochettino gesture on the touchline during the English Premier League football match between Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City at White Hart La

Tottenham were unable to make the necessary incisions at the BayArena to leave with anything more than a goalless draw, but manager Mauricio Pochettino could afford to be content with that share of the spoils.

The same doesn't go for Wednesday's clash at Wembley Stadium, however, and Match of the Day provided proof the north Londoners are in historical form coming into the encounter:

There are more positives for Spurs to look out for as they prepare to greet the Germans too, with Harry Kane and Toby Alderweireld both in the frame to come back from injury, per ESPN FC's Ben Dinnery:

Leverkusen snatched a dramatic 2-1 win over struggling Wolfsburg on Saturday, but that victory followed a four-game winless streak for manager Roger Schmidt's side.

Spurs are out of sorts themselves to a degree following Saturday's 1-1 draw against Leicester City, but a robust defence should pave the way to three points, particularly if Kane and Alderweireld are able to return.

Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Bayer Leverkusen
