Klopp was jubilant as he rose from the bench in the final moments of his side's visit to south Wales, as Liverpool defeated Swansea after a lacklustre first half on Saturday.

Fer converted after just eight minutes for the Swans, with the Reds struggling to find their flow and consistency.

Liverpool battled back into the match after the half-time break as their midfield took control of proceedings, exerting extreme pressure on their opponents' goal.

The breakthrough came from Firmino after 55 minutes, as the Brazil international headed home from close range.

The attacker was involved in the winning moment when he was fouled by Angel Rangel in the box, forcing the referee to award a penalty with six minutes remaining.

As he has consistently done in recent games, Milner stepped up to the spot and made no mistake as he casually grabbed the vital strike.

Dominic King of the Daily Mail paid homage to the unsung former England international:

Chelsea had to move through the gears in the second half at Hull, as Antonio Conte's team impressed against the Tigers, winning 2-0.

Willian and Costa both scored within six minutes of each other as Chelsea made their overall dominance pay dividends.

OptaJoe highlighted Willian's recent form and contributions:

Conte's man played with improved poise at the KCOM Stadium after an inconsistent set of recent results.

Bournemouth were unlucky not to claim a victory at Watford on their travels from the south coast after leading 2-1 in the second half.

Callum Wilson gave the Cherries a half-time lead, but the Hornets struck back through Troy Deeney after 79 minutes.

The Watford captain also attempted an outrageous close-range scorpion kick as the hosts took control, but the visitors grabbed a dramatic lead through substitute Joshua King.

However, Isaac Success rose above the Cherries defence to save Watford with a vital header as the points were shared in Hertfordshire.

Bleacher Report UK highlighted the equaliser:

West Ham fought back at the London Stadium against Middlesbrough after Cristhian Stuani gave the visiting team the lead shortly after half time.

Dimitri Payet was once again the Hammers' hero as the France international glided past three defenders before angling in a low shot.

West Brom hearts were broken late in the day at Sunderland, as the Black Cats earned an equaliser in the 83rd-minute at the Stadium of Light.

Nacer Chadli gave the Baggies the lead after 35 minutes, but substitute Patrick van Aanholt's looping effort gave David Moyes' men a vital point.

Liverpool made a statement of intent at Swansea, proving they can battle against adversity to claim maximum points from a compromising situation.

Klopp's team impressed against their hardworking hosts, and they deserved their win after a dominant midfield performance.

Chelsea will be relieved to be moving in the right direction again, and they navigated dangerous waters on the Humber.

Conte's side wrested control of the contest in the second half and performed a professional job as they squeezed the life out of the Tigers' display.
