Recap
David Barral made a surprise start for Granada at the striker position, with in-form Ezequiel Ponce relegated to the bench.
Manchester United loanee Andreas Pereira also started, while Sergi Samper of Barcelona did not, per Simon Harrison of Marca:
Granada entered the match as one of two teams still winless in Spain's top division―Osasuna haven't beaten anyone yet, either―and it showed on Monday. Alaves, who have surprised fans and pundits alike early this season, were on top from the opening minute.

Deyverson flashed his scoring potential on a few occasions, and Ibai Gomez also tested goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, who was kept busy.
Per Harrison, some pressure from the former almost resulted in an own goal, but the official had spotted a transgression during the buildup:
Granada barely created any danger in the first half, but somehow they kept their nets clean in the first half. Former Nazaries star Mendez opened the scoring early in the second half, however, finishing off a swift counter-attack to score Alaves' first goal at home this La Liga season.
Per Harrison, recent history suggested Granada had little chance of completing a comeback:
Ruben Vezo came close to an equaliser with a header that flew over the target before Camarasa doubled Alaves' lead after a defensive blunder from Uche Henry Agbo.
Deyverson hit the post shortly after before Kravets gave the visitors some hope with a neat finish after a great cross from Pereira.

Their hopes were short-lived, however, as Deyverson put the final score on the board after another defensive mistake.
Per Harrison, Granada's Javi Marquez thought his team's defensive effort wasn't as poor as most pundits suggested:
On Saturday, Real Madrid allowed rivals Barcelona to close the gap at the top of the standings to just a single point with a second consecutive draw, this time against Las Palmas. The trip to the Canary Islands is never an easy one because of the distance, and Los Amarillos have started the 2016-17 campaign in fine form.
As shared by Dermot Corrigan of ESPN FC, manager Zinedine Zidane told Movistar+ he thought his team deserved to win:
Sergio Araujo had other plans, however, scoring a late goal for Las Palmas to tie things up. Marco Asensio and Karim Benzema scored for Los Blancos.
Over in Asturias, Barcelona demolished Sporting Gijon, easily winning by a score of 5-0. Neymar scored a brace, while Luis Suarez, Arda Turan and Rafinha also found the back of the net.
On Sunday, Antoine Griezmann scored the only goal in Atletico Madrid's win over Deportivo La Coruna.
