League leaders Manchester City will attempt to sustain their consistent opening to the season but face a challenging away day at Swansea City.

Manchester United vs. Leicester

The Foxes roll into Manchester with their tails up, as Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho takes stock in order to recover winning ways in the Premier League.

United have lost consecutive league matches, falling to neighbours City and a dogged Watford team. Mourinho's side has looked disorganised, and the signing of Paul Pogba has yet to bear fruit on the pitch.

According to Squawka, the world-record signing from Juventus has yet to score or assist in the league, creating only four chances in four matches. The Frenchman has a passing accuracy of 81 per cent, proving there is much more to come from him in a red shirt.

United will be without Anthony Martial for the clash, per the club's official Twitter account, which could see Wayne Rooney retain his place despite his a poor run of form.

According to Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News, Mourinho refused to single out the club captain for his recent performances:

"

[Rooney’s] form is like Man United form. We are a team. We are not [Rooney] and we all started well, we all won four matches and we all lost three matches in the week, so that’s not [Rooney] and to be honest he didn’t play against Feyenoord, so he was not directly involved in that match.

Everybody is involved in every match, even the ones who are not playing.

The Premier League holders arrive after being eliminated from the EFL Cup against Chelsea, but Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez both appear motivated and buoyant.

Broadcaster Stan Collymore recently highlighted the pace and threat from his former club's attack:

United desperately need a win, even at this early stage of the campaign, with City already six points ahead of them in the table.

Mourinho has to find a quick solution to his team's lack of shape, and if they are as undisciplined as they have been in recent weeks, Leicester will fill their boots in front of the Theatre of Dreams.

Prediction: 2-2

Swansea vs. Manchester City

Pep Guardiola will be delighted by his players' collective attitude in his early days as Sky Blues coach, with City purring like a supercar fresh from the garage.

The Etihad Stadium outfit has played a mouthwatering brand of football since the Spaniard's arrival in the summer, and Swansea will need to work hard to avoid a sound beating.

City have achieved a perfect start from their five league games, and their 4-0 win and performance against Bournemouth last time out was both ruthless and irresistible.

Sergio Aguero is available after suspension, and with Kevin De Bruyne in career-best form, the visitors appear on a higher level than anyone else.

The Swans sit 15th after only one victory in the Premier League and have shipped seven goals in their five matches.

The Sky Blues have looked like scoring from every attack in their recent games, but their defence remains leaky and vulnerable—offering hope to the hosts.

If City score early, there could be an avalanche of goals as Swansea attempt to force the issue. And with Aguero rested and ready, Guardiola's side can make a statement of intent in south Wales.

Prediction: 1-5
