Full-time: Southampton 1-5 Chelsea
The Blues reacted well to going behind and secured an emphatic victory in the end. Demba Ba will take the plaudits as he bagged a brace on his debut.
Rafael Benitez will be delighted with the response to losing at home to QPR and the Blues start their defence of The FA Cup in style.
Let me know your thoughts in the comments section below.
90+3'-Ramires somehow finds a burst of energy and runs half of the pitch to release Marin down the left, but the German runs the ball out of play.
90'-Oscar has received some rough treatment from the Saints, Ward-Prowse in particular, who was booked for a poor foul a moment ago.
88'-Man of the match today has to be Ba, it's not just his goals. The Senegalese has been a presence in attack, holding the ball up and allowing the diminutive attacking midfielders behind him to weave their magic and know there would be somebody waiting in the box to finish the moves off.
86'-Oscar swings over the corner and Luiz rises high and connects well with a header, but it's straight at Boruc. Saints have given up basically and Chelsea seem intent on going for more goals.
Southampton 1-5 Chelsea
81'-Lampard attempts a scooped pass and Davis' arm or midrift gets in the way. The referee points to the penalty spot. Lampard steps up and sends Boruc the wrong way, drilling it hard and low to the left.
GOAL!!! LAMPARD!!!
PENALTY CHELSEA!!!

79'-It took Fernando Torres seven months to score two Premier League goals for Chelsea. Demba Ba has taken 62 minutes.
61 - Its taken Demba Ba 61 minutes to do what it took Fernando Torres seven months to do and score twice for Chelsea. Impact.

75'-Saints a little demoralised here, but Nigel Adkins won't be that disappointed, after all, there are bigger fish to fry, like Premier League survival.
71'-Moses scampers down the left and cuts inside, curling a lovely ball towards the back post and there is Ba, who heads down for the hat-trick surely... Boruc to the rescue though with a fine stop.
70'-De Ridder misses a sitter. Do Prado fizzes the ball across the area and Cahill misses it completely. The Belgian smashes straight at Turnbull and the keeper gets up quick to smother Davis' rebound too.
67'-Chelsea playing with a swagger right now, calm in possession and knocking it around for fun.
Southampton 1-4 Chelsea
61'-Hazard picks the ball up on the right side of the penalty area and just rolls the ball towards the six yard box, where Ba is there to gobble up his second goal on debut. Great movement from the Senegalese, something that Torres has lacked lately.
GOAL!!! BA!!!
60'-Mata lifts a free kick into the box and Luiz climbs high at the back post to head into the ground, but Boruc gathers.
57'-Just a quick point on the goal, Ivanovic took it superbly, but does anybody know why he was even up there? The Serbian loves to saunter forward, David Luiz just needs to fill in from time to time.
55'-Mata displays the most outrageous first touch, cushioning the ball down from the heavens, before wrapping his wand of a left boot around the ball, curling into Ba's path, but Boruc punches clear and Saints survive.
Southampton 1-3 Chelsea
51'-Mata jinks down the left and lifts an inviting cross between the goalkeeper and his back line, where Ivanovic rises, unmarked, to head home the third. Lovely goal.
GOAL!!! IVANOVIC!!!
50'-Juan Mata tries a shot from distance, it takes a deflection off Do Prado and falls narrowly wide.
