The number of transfer rumours increase as we get closer to the winter transfer window, and there are some transfers that attract much more attention than others.
Whether or not it's logical for certain moves to occur, the big players and big teams have been linked to various rumours.
The January transfer window has seen its fair share of big-money moves, and with the rumours that are swirling, it seems there could be a few more mega-moves in 2013.
Here are the 11 hottest transfer rumours in World Football.
Both moves would involve the Chelsea left-back linking up with two of his former coaches and would present different challenges.
Cole is more likely to be a regular starter at PSG with former Barcelona player Maxwell the best left-back option at the moment.
While he is also likely to start a possible Real Madrid career in the starting 11, he would face a much tougher battle to keep his spot with both Marcelo and Fabio Coentrao to contend with.
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is set to make another blockbuster move by going after Colombian star Radamelf Falcao in January.
Falcao's form in the last few seasons has attracted the attention of many big clubs and it is likely that he will leave Atletico Madrid.
Back in October, Goal.com revealed that Atletico Madrid may allow their prized asset to leave in the summer, but a big offer from Chelsea could alter that situation.
Despite getting off to a decent start this season, Fernando Torres has still not reached his best form and the club has slipped from the top of the Premier League table in the last few weeks.
Bringing in a player like Falcao would make add great potency to Chelsea's attack as they look to bring in silverware on all fronts.
Considering his recent form, it is no surprise that Luis Suarez has been linked (via the Daily Mirror) with a move to Manchester City.
It's hard to argue against the feasibility of such a move, given the financial resources available to Manchester City. But this rumour, as with most it must be said, will probably remain just that.
Suarez is leading the Premier League scoring chart and is by far the Reds' best player. If he continues this form, he is likely to attract more attention and Liverpool will have to do their best to keep him.
According to the Metro, Arsenal could be taking a look at Liverpool goalkeeper Jose Reina for a possible January move.
Arsenal's defense hasn't been great recently as the club has let in 19 goals in their last 10 games.
Part of the reason for that is the injury to Wojciech Szczesny, leading to the club's use of third-choice goalkeeper Vito Mannone. Even when he is fit, though, the Polish keeper hasn't provided much more stability.
Reina hasn't been in great form himself either. He's conceded 12 goals in his eight Premier League games.(statistics courtesy of ESPN Soccernet)
Still, the Spaniard has been one of the top goalkeepers in the Premier League and Europe for some time. He would be good player to at least provide some quality backup for the Gunners if he doesn't end up being a permanent solution.
Liverpool has been linked (via the Metro) with Ivory Coast striker Lacina Traore in a bid to bolster their attack.
Here's more from the Metro article;
The Ivory Coast international has been singled out by the Reds following his goal in Anzhi’s 1-0 win over Brendan Rodgers’ side in last week’s Europa League tie.
And the Northern Irishman intends to keep close tabs on 6ft 8in Traore for the rest of the season, with a view to a summer move.
While the article does the move could occur in the summer, it is possible that something could happen in January as Liverpool are in dire need of more attacking options.
While bringing back Andy Carroll from loan may be a more cost-effective option for Brendan Rodgers, if he thinks Traore can fit in his side, he may make a move.
The Udinese defender is, according to Talksport.com, attracting interest from some of Europe's top clubs.
Manchester United, Juventus and Tottenham are the teams in question. They could all be looking to capture the Moroccan defender in January.
Benatia could fit into all these teams and provide good cover in the process. With their three-man defense, Juventus is always in need of another central defender, and Tottenham could be looking for a replacement for the aging William Gallas.
While Manchester United has plenty of options in defense, they have had their fair share of injury problems in recent times.
Wilfried Zaha has gotten a lot of attention lately and has been linked (via the Daily Mail) with a move to Manchester United.
Zaha has been in good form so far this season and recently made his debut with England national team in a friendly against Sweden.
Crystal Palace are unlikely to let their star asset go easily, especially as they are in a good position for promotion to the Premier League.
Goal.com revealed earlier this month that United could try to create a deal where the young star stays at his club until the end of the season. That would work in their favour.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal will make a big January bid for Napoli forward Edinson Cavani.

Arsenal hasn't been the same attacking force this season but have picked up in that area in recent games as the club has relied on a trusted few while players like Andrei Arshavin and Marouane Chamakh play only when absolutely necessary
The Gunners could let these players go in January and bring in Cavani to provide great quality on the attacking end.
Chelsea has been linked (via the Daily Mirror) with a move for Belgian star Marouane Fellaini.
The Everton midfielder has been in good form this season and has played a major part in Everton's success in the Premier League.
Fellaini would fit in well with the technical Chelsea side and provide physicality in the process. Should he join Chelsea, he would have a good chance of replacing someone like John Obi-MIkel in the starting lineup.
The Daily Mirror has reported that Mario Balotelli could be on the way back to Inter Milan.
The Italian striker has had a mixed time at Manchester City. While he has generally received the backing of his Manchester City coach, the City board and owners could feel the youngster has been given enough chances to succeed.
Balotelli would be rejoining an Inter Milan squad quite different from the one he left, but he would certainly make an impact in a regular role.
According to the Telegraph, Roberto Mancini has made it known to his employers that he would like to sign Daniele de Rossi.
The Roma midfielder was a target for the club in the summer window, but the deal failed to materialize and Mancini had to make do with other signings
De Rossi would be a great signing for the club with his ability to play in a three-man defense and as a central or defensive midfielder in any other formation Mancini should choose.
