10 Most Ridiculous Premier League Golazos

0 of 10

The English Premier League is home to dozens of goals a season that would be highlight-reel classics in any other league around the world.

However, there are also those, few and far between, that are some of the most skillful, impressive and utterly astonishing goals you may ever see.

In 20 years of English Premier League action there have been several thousand goals scored, but here are the 10 most ridiculous of all time.

Tony Yeboah 1995-96

Leeds United striker Tony Yeboah scored the 1995-96 English Premier League goal of the season on his way to a hat trick in a 4-2 victory over Wimbledon.

Dennis Bergkamp is another player who scored a hat trick in the match that saw him claim an English Premier League goal of the season. He did so in Arsenal's match against Leicester City.

3 of 10

Italian attacker Paolo Di Canio scored perhaps the greatest goal of his career against Wimbledon in the 1999-2000 English Premier League season.

He also was honored with the goal of the season that year, and is the only West Ham United player to have received the award during the Premier League era.

Tim Howard 2011-12

4 of 10

Is there anything more ridiculous than a goalkeeper scoring from downtown with a 100-plus-yard clearance? United States international Tim Howard did just that for Everton against Bolton Wanderers during the 2011-12 season.

Matthew Le Tissier 1992-93

5 of 10

Southampton legend Matthew Le Tissier scored a wonder goal of skill and finesse against Newcastle United in the opening year of English Premier League action.

Dietmar Hamann 2003-04

6 of 10

Liverpool fan favorite Dietmar Hamann put the hammer down with his thunderous strike during the 2003-04 English Premier League season against Portsmouth.

Wayne Rooney 2010-11

7 of 10

The highlight reels never get tired of running Wayne Rooney's classic bicycle goal against local rivals Manchester City during the 2010-11 English Premier League campaign.

Emmanuel Adebayor 2007-08

8 of 10

Emmanuel Adebayor proved once and for all with this strike against his now-club Tottenham that he was indeed a striker of world-class quality.

Glen Johnson 2008-09

9 of 10

Glen Johnson scored perhaps the greatest English Premier League goal by a defender with his jaw-dropping volley against Hull City in the 2008-09 campaign.

Papiss Demba Cisse 2011-12

10 of 10

Never until this match between Chelsea and visiting Newcastle United had I seen a ball travel in the kind of way as the one struck by Senegalese striker Papiss Demba Cisse.

There may never be another goal like the one he struck that night at Stamford Bridge in 2012.
