Arsenal Transfer News: Wenger Strongly Hints at Key Transfers Before Window Ends
The Telegraph is reporting that Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, has not ruled out the possibility of further transfers being made both in and out of the club before the end of this summer's transfer period.
Arsenal have had a busy preseason in regards to the coming and going of players.
The Gunners have lost their captain, Robin van Persie to bitter rivals Manchester United, as well as another one of their key players, Alex Song, to the "greatest team ever" Barcelona.

However it has not been all doom and gloom, with the arrivals of Lukas Podolski from Koln, Santi Cazorla from Malaga, and French striker Olivier Giroud from Montpellier.
But as good as these signings are, they aren't direct replacements for the losses that Arsenal have taken (particularly in the slot that needs to be filled with Alex Song's absence).
As such, attention turned firmly to the Real Madrid midfielder, Nuri Sahin, to come in and fill the void that Song would be leaving.
It now seems though that Sahin will in fact be playing in England next season, but farther north at Anfield with Liverpool. (The Independent)
The news is somewhat disappointing for Arsenal fans, but should not crush their hopes entirely.
In reality, it allows for a stronger and perhaps more experienced player to come in and take on the role.
Favourites to come to the Emirates are Yann M'vila of Rennes and Jesus Navas who now plays for Sevilla.
Speaking about the issue of late transfer, Wenger said:
""Some things can still happen, I don't want make a promise that I cannot keep. It does not only depend on me. But there still could be some action on the transfer market—ins and outs.
We are working [in the market]. We'll see what we can do.
The transfer market is open for two months and yet for one month and three weeks it is nearly closed. It wakes up completely in the last week and then every minute becomes important.
Everybody has played for time for seven or eight weeks and now suddenly everyone is in a hurry. And that is when the most intense activity happens."
"
So it seems as though this already crazy summer of "wheeling and dealing" is not yet over from an Arsenal perspective.
I would be shocked if no additions were made to fill the Song role, with the Cameroonian having played such a crucial part in Arsenal's ascent to third in the league last season.
As for departures from the club, one may well come in the form of Andrei Arshavin who, despite performing well in Russia's incredibly unlucky Euro 2012 campaign, has not shown any signs of making it back into the Arsenal first XI.
It is rumoured that his former club, Zenit St Petersburg are interested in signing Andrei for £10m.(ESPN)
The coming week should be very interesting if you are a Gunners fan.
