The final eight for the men's Olympic soccer tournament in London has been set, and there are a few surprises.
Pre-tournament favorites Spain were eliminated after their second match in Group D and finished last in the group while Japan and Honduras advanced to the quarterfinals.
Another surprise team to not make the tournament's knockout stage was Uruguay, who crashed out of Group A on Wednesday finishing third behind hosts Great Britain and Senegal.
The other four teams that advanced were Mexico and South Korea from Group B and Brazil and Egypt out of Group C.
Here are how the eight remaining teams rank with the top team being the favorite to win gold in London.
