The Los Angeles Clippers are the talk of the town right now, which has put the Los Angeles Lakers in an unfamiliar place, and they take on the Golden State Warriors in the final game of the NBA's Christmas Day schedule.

After trading for superstar point guard Chris Paul, the Clippers have NBA Finals dreams for the first time in their history.

Paul and star forward Blake Griffin will be an awesome combo to watch all season and will provide many highlight-reel moments for fans to get excited about.

Key Injuries

Warriors guard Stephen Curry is doubtful for Sunday's game with an ankle sprain.

Clippers forward Reggie Evans is doubtful for Sunday's game with an ankle injury.

What's At Stake?

For the Clippers, this game is a chance to show fans what all the fuss is about. Fans and NBA experts have high expectations for the Clippers, and how their many young players handle the situation of being the hunted and not the hunters will be interesting to watch.

For the Warriors, they need to show they can play defense. Their fans are dying to see a playoff run, but that won't happen unless the team commits to playing defense each and every night. Against a top offensive team like the Clippers, the Warriors will get a good early test on how sound they are defensively on Sunday night.

What They're Saying

Los Angeles Lakers forward Matt Barnes isn't happy with the Clippers celebrating after every dunk. "They act like they won the dunk contest after every dunk," Barnes said, following his team's preseason game with the Clippers on Wednesday. "So, as players, people aren't going to tolerate that."

First year Warriors head coach Mark Jackson commented on Stephen Curry's ankle injury this week, via The Sporting News:

"

I’m disappointed. We need him back quick. But if not, we still have to go out and execute. It's no excuse. The next player has to look at it as an opportunity. We hope Steph comes back quick because everybody knows we are a better basketball team with him.

"

Player to watch on the Clippers: Chris Paul

Chris Paul has made the Clippers must-watch television for the simple fact that fans want to see him throw alley-oops to Blake Griffin.

Paul has the whole organization energized for a deep playoff run, and the team is finally excited about the possibility of playoff basketball in late May.

Before that can happen though, Paul needs to develop a good chemistry with his teammates, and that challenge starts on Sunday against the Warriors.

Player to watch for the Warriors: Monta Ellis

Monta Ellis is worth the price of admission every single night, and is one of the most prolific scorers the NBA has to offer.

Ellis is a great all-around scorer who can shoot well from the outside and drive to the basket and finish at the rim.

With Curry likely out of the lineup on Sunday against the Clippers, Ellis will be counted on to supply the bulk of the scoring for the Warriors.

Key Matchup: Clippers stopping Ellis

Ellis will be the only legitimate scoring threat the Warriors have on Sunday night, and if the Clippers can do a good job of containing him then they will win the game quite easily.

The Warriors don't play a ton of defense, so Ellis needs to be firing on all cylinders from a scoring standpoint for his team to have a chance to win.

Prediction: Clippers win 120-109

This is going to be a very entertaining game with lots of scoring, but the Clippers just have too many weapons on offense for the defensively challenged Warriors to stop.

Paul and Griffin will introduce the basketball world to "Lob City" in front of a national television audience, and we will see just how explosive the young Clippers will be this season.

For entertainment value, this game is as good as it gets on Christmas.
