Why NFL Dropped the Ball on James Harrison Supsension
During a time in the NFL in which all teams are trying their best to lessen the amount of injuries happening on the field, it seems that Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison is still focused on hurting people.
Over the past two seasons alone, Harrison has concussed several athletes, many of whom play for the Cleveland Browns. Colt McCoy being the latest victim of Harrison's actions, Harrison received a measly one-game suspension.
Many have criticized commissioner Roger Goodell for his strict policies, but his stance against head injuries is one I've always admired and for him to hand a frequent offender like Harrison only a one-game suspension is just not enough.

NFL Draft Sleeper Picks Who Could Become ROTY ⭐
Just last year, Josh Cribbs, Drew Brees, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Jason Campbell all received blows to the head by the Pittsburgh Steeler and now this season he has failed to change his style of play to prevent further issues regarding his frequent helmet-to-helmet contact with competitors.
Harrison is well past the disciplinary action of simply receiving a fine and just one suspension. If his actions continue to show a lack of regard for the safety of others on the football field and similar incidents occurs, Goodell must make a huge statement and suspend the Kent State alum for at least three games.
Incidents such as the ones Harrison has made a habit of committing can have long-standing effects on the people he injures and the NFL must punish the linebacker appropriately until he figures out the proper way to hit an opponent that wont result with someone landing in the hospital.
