Arsenal News: Arsene Wenger Must Buy Attacking Talent in January Transfer Window
Arsenal must buy attacking talent in the January transfer window to help Robin van Persie at forward because the Gunners are too reliable on the Dutchman's goal scoring.
With forwards such as Gervinho and Marouane Chamakh leaving in January to participate in the African Nations Cup, Arsene Wenger has no choice but to by goal scoring players next month.
""We lose players like Chamakh and Gervinho to the Africa Cup of Nations so hopefully, touch wood, we do not get any injuries to our strikers. But if an opportunity turns up in that department then we will buy," Wenger told a supporters' Q&A at the Emirates Stadium, via the Daily Mail.

Regardless if Arsenal's strikers suffer any injuries in the near future, the team desperately needs talent up front. Van Persie is counted on far too much to score goals, and without his amazing season thus far, the Gunners could be far worse off than they are now. He has led the club's resurgence after a terrible start to the season.
One player Wenger must look at is German forward Lukas Podolski of FC Cologne, but if the price exceeds £20 million Wenger might think twice about the German international.
Another target is Marseille striker Loic Remy, who would be a fantastic addition at the Emirates. Remy has speed, quickness and is a fantastic finisher.
He is a proven goal scorer in Ligue 1 and for France at the international level. Remy has also played well in his Champions League career for Marseille.
Wenger has revived his interest in Remy, according to reports, and buying the Frenchman for under £15 million seems like the best way to improve the club now and for the future.
The Gunners do not need a world-class talent, just some proven players who can contribute right away and give the club an attacking boost.
Wenger must buy attacking talent in the January transfer window, because the squad is good enough for a solid Champions league run this year, and also securing qualification for the competition next season.
With the transfer funds brought in from the sales of Samir Nasri, Cesc Fabregas and Gael Clichy in the summer, Wenger has no excuse to stand pat and buy no goal scoring reinforcements in January.
