Greg Jennings Injury: Update on Packers Star's Week 15 Status and Fantasy Value
According to Mark J. Miller of Yahoo! Sports, the Green Bay Packers may have senselessly lost star wide receiver Greg Jennings for a few weeks because of a torn medial collateral ligament.
Update: Monday, Dec. 12 at 4:15 p.m. EDT
Greg Jennings is human after all. The NFL Network's Albert Breer is reporting that he will be out 2-3 weeks according to Packers coach Mike McCarthy.

This may effectively keep him out the rest of the season, especially if Green Bay drops a game between now and his return and they have locked up a No. 1 seed in the NFC.

Jennings is the No. 1 receiver in one of the best offenses in NFL history and has constantly put the team on his back and helped lead them to a perfect 13-0 record this season.
He’s also one of the toughest players in the game and rarely has he missed any time due to injury in his career.
Now that he is more than likely out, it's going to be tough to identify which receiver is going to make up his production in the offense. Jordy Nelson is most likely in line to get more looks, but Donald Driver, Randall Cobb and James Jones could all see their touches rise as well.
QB Aaron Rodgers, the key cog that makes the Packers offense run, spoke with the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel about how he felt after he saw his main target go down.
""It didn't look very good, so we'll see what the MRI says tomorrow and hopefully, you know, we got a bye wrapped up, so he really has close to five weeks before the next game, or our playoff game," Rodgers said. "So hopefully we can get him ready for that."

If Jennings did indeed suffer a torn MCL, he’s looking at a minimum of two weeks and up to six to fully heal.
The fact that this injury happened midway through a game that the Packers were in full control of really makes fans question the pursuit of perfection.
Should starters like Jennings really be out there this late in the season?
Jennings had no need to put the team on his back when they were up by more points than the Raiders could have reasonably came back from.
I imagine if we were inside the mind of Jennings at the time, he was thinking that he still wanted to cross the plane and score a touchdown, but he should have been sitting on the bench to avoid this nightmare scenario.
Keep it tuned here throughout the week to find the latest news and reports on Greg Jennings' injury as it breaks.
