Indianapolis Colts vs. Baltimore Ravens: Spread Info, Line and Predictions

Kyle VassaloDec 9, 2011

This week, we get to see a Baltimore Ravens team that just might have what it takes to win the Super Bowl this season square off with an Indianapolis Colts team that is amongst the worst in history.

The dejected Rams obtained their first victory over the New Orleans Saints in Week 8, highlighting the fact that any team can beat any team on any given Sunday.

Still, this is about as one-sided as it gets. Let's take a closer look to see how bad the carnage is going to be.

Where: M&T Bank Stadium

When: Sunday, Dec. 11 at 1:00 p.m. ET

Watch: CBS

Spread: Baltimore -16.5

Take the points. The Colts went into Foxboro projected to lose by three scores and managed to escape with only a seven-point deficit. This could get ugly quick, but the inexplicable losses sustained by the Ravens this season and tight games the Colts have been in make the Ravens impossible to take.

Over/Under: 41

Take the over. The Colts haven't scored more than 24 points in any given game this season, but the Ravens have put up over 30 five times this year. This score could easily end 30-17. The Colts don't have to have a monster day for you to hit the over or cover with Indy.

Fantasy Big Plays

The Browns had no answer for Rice last week, letting him run for 204 yards and a touchdown. The Colts allow 144.2 rushing yards per game and will provide no resistance to Rice's rushing attack.

Dan Orlovsky

If you find yourself panicked because one of your stars went down, don't be afraid to gamble on Dan Orlovsky. He made the Patriots D look foolish last week and although he won't be able to put up 350-plus yards week in and week out, those who were electing to go with Curtis Painter earlier in the season shouldn't hesitate to plug him in.

Keys to Colts Win

Find some inspiration. The Colts need to figure out what it is they are playing for. They have a serious shot at going down as the worst team in history.

A win would spare them of that designation and the players waiting around for Andrew Luck to save them aren't going to have a job at this rate.

Keys to Ravens Win

Blow this game open early. The Colts have a knack for hanging in games that should be blowouts. If the Ravens can be aggressive and get Ray Rice going, this game will be over by the second half.

There is no need to do anything fancy here. Hopefully for the Ravens, they learned from their losses to the Seahawks and Jaguars and won't fall victim to another shocking upset.

Prediction

Ravens 30, Colts 20
