Week 13 Fantasy Football Rankings: Ranking the Week's Worst WRs
Although the NFL is a passing league and we have to expect more from most WRs, the truth is, there are always those who are less productive no matter what the case.
That, in turn, has a strong affect on fantasy football. So, here are four of the worst Week 13 WRs.
4. Dwayne Bowe, Chiefs (at Bears)

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
We could make the argument that Chicago ranks No. 30 in pass defense, but K.C. ranks just No. 27 in pass offense. And in spite of Dwayne Bowe being their best receiver, if you stop him, you completely shutdown the Chiefs' passing game.
And the Chiefs won't be able to use their ground game to set up the pass either, because the Bears rank No. 8 in defending the run. So, expect Bowe to get jammed at the line, and anytime he goes deep, there'll be safety help over the top.
Plus, if he goes across the middle, Brian Urlacher is there, and he's one of the better cover LBs in the game. As for Bowe, he's really the only legit receiving target on K.C.
3. Michael Crabtree, 49ers (vs Rams)
Michael Crabtree may be the best receiver on the 49ers, but all San Fran does is run the ball. In addition, St. Louis visits this week, and the Rams rank dead last in rush defense.
Therefore, Crabtree is a bad fantasy option solely because the 49ers have no reason to throw the ball. Sure, they will a few times, but Crabtree won't put up the numbers like he did against Arizona or Detroit (two best games).
Also, St. Louis does have an underrated pass defense. So, even in the event of them anticipating the run, Crabtree may see targets early, but it won't be enough to warrant a good day in terms of fantasy.
2. Santonio Holmes, Jets (at Redskins)
In his last two games against the Broncos and Bills, Santonio Holmes has just six catches for 61 yards an no TDs. And those numbers are against some of the more vulnerable pass defenses.
Well, this week, Holmes and the Jets play the Redskins in Washington, who have the No. 10-ranked pass defense. Now, yes, QB Mark Sanchez has been improving quite well. However, Holmes has been mostly stagnant, averaging just over three catches per game.
That said, don't expect too much from Santonio in Week 13—especially because Washington has a respectable pass rush that will limit Sanchez in the pocket. So, chances are that he only gets to make two reads (Plaxivo deep or Dustin Keller across the middle) before he has to throw it away.
1. Jerome Simpson, Bengals (at Steelers)
Jerome Simpson may be a solid complementary target after rookie AJ Green, but only twice this season has he caught more than five passes.
In playing Pittsburgh this week, Simpson will be lucky to see the rock, let alone catch it. The first time against the Steelers, Simpson had zero receptions at home. Now, in a playoff-type atmosphere, you can't expect much more.
On top of that, Blitzburgh will get pressure on Andy Dalton and double team AJ Green, as well as shut down the Cincy ground game. Simpson may be left in numerous single coverages, but he has yet to truly prove that he can consistently get open without Green attracting defenders.
