Adrian Peterson Injury: Update on Vikings Star's Week 8 Status and Fantasy Value
Adrian Peterson had a monster day in the Minnesota Vikings' narrow loss to the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers.
Unfortunately, that performance may have cost him his health.
Peterson was shown limping off the field with 7:49 left in the fourth quarter, and he sat on the sideline for a bit. It is believed that it was a left ankle injury.

UPDATE: Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 4:20 p.m. EDT
The Minnesota Vikings believe that Adrian Peterson will play on Sunday against Carolina, but they are being extra cautious with him in practice. Here's the word from Jeremy Fowler of the Pioneer Press.
If, and it looks like a big if, Peterson does not play, the Vikings are in big trouble. He is the most consistent offensive player they have, and takes a ton of pressure off Christian Ponder.
Peterson is so good that missing a day or two of practice is not going to effect his performance in a game. I would expect him to start and shine against the Panthers' 29th ranked run defense.
Luckily for fantasy owners and Vikings fans alike, Peterson returned with five minutes remaining in the game. He was not able to scamper for a score and victory, but it is a good sign that he returned to action.
The Vikings play the Carolina Panthers next week, and it is one of the friendliest matchups that AP is going to see all year.
Peterson has really turned it on as of late and already has 712 yards and eight touchdowns on the season. He should be able to torch the Panthers if he is 100 percent healthy this week.
Keep it tuned here throughout the week, as we will bring you the latest breaking news on Peterson and his possible ankle injury as soon as it hits.
