E:60 Piece Will Lead Scott Hall Right to WWE Hall of Fame
Hey yo, last night’s feature on ESPN’s television program E:60 was built around the sad tale of former WWE and WCW superstar Scott Hall.
At one time, Hall was atop of the mid-card in the World Wrestling Federation during his run as the Intercontinental champion. That run saw him wrestle in one of the best matches in WWE history at WrestleMania X against Shawn Michaels in a ladder match.
He won the match and if you ask people what they remember from that WrestleMania, it wasn’t the Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart match and it wasn’t Bret Hart winning the WWF Title at the end of the night.

No, you remember the final shot of the Hall-Michaels ladder match, with Hall holding up both IC titles.
After his run in the WWF, Hall put the wrestling world on fire when he showed up on WCW’s Monday night television program Nitro. At first, the wrestling community thought it was Hall still acting like his character in the WWF, as it looked and sounded like Razor Ramon attacking WCW.
He didn’t say much, but when he said, “You want a war, you’re going to get one," it sent shock waves through the industry, from the wrestlers in the back to the fans at home watching on TV.
Hall’s appearance on Nitro set up one of the biggest times for WCW, as he started the storyline that gave WCW its highest ratings, their biggest revenue during pay-per-views/house shows and almost put the WWE out of business.
However, like the E:60 program showed, with the rise in fame that the nWo storyline gave Hall, it led to a downward spiral of drugs, alcohol and anything else he could indulge himself in.
Since the days of WCW, Hall has not been able to regain what made him one of the best performers in the business. This is a result of his substance abuse.
However, the WWE has put six-figures behind Hall’s attempt to get sober through a number of rehab stints.
The E:60 piece that aired last night has now brought a national spotlight to what this dynamic performer is going through. Now he has the chance to be one of the best redemption stories ever.
The pinnacle of Hall’s redemption story will be at this year’s WWE Hall of Fame, where he should go in, with his best friend Kevin Nash.
Having Hall in this year’s Hall of Fame class, as Hall would say, would be “To sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!”
