NFL Picks Week 7: Miami Dolphins and More Teams Guaranteed Losses

Gabe ZaldivarOct 19, 2011

Avert your eyes if you happen to be a fan of the Miami Dolphins or any other team headed into certain doom this weekend. Not sure of who they are? Well, read ahead.

I am not about to rip the hope from the hopeless, but come on. These following teams are headed into certain failure, and it pains me to say it.

The good news is the NFL is a league of parity. Teams on the outs one year can climb to the top of the heap the next. Unfortunately, these several teams have to do some more climbing.

It's time to crack open a cold one for some games that we already know the outcome to. The only way to enjoy them fully is to extinguish the hope you have for an upset, because it won't come this weekend.

Here are three teams that will prove the NFL can be a tough hard place to make a living.

1. Miami Dolphins: The Dolphins looked awful on Monday night. I agree that the new rule mandating teams take four days off in the bye week hurt them. But this was more than rust.

The Dolphins were shrugging their shoulders and seeming dejected as the Jets battered them. On Sunday, they face a hungry Broncos team that will give the ball to a run-first quarterback in Tim Tebow

The injection of excitement is all the Broncos need to get over on a team without any shred of momentum.

2. Arizona Cardinals: Forget that the Pittsburgh Steelers have seemed to work out their early-season doldrums. Forget that they are having trouble putting points on the board.

The real issue is the Cardinals defense that the Steelers will exploit at every turn. This game will get ugly in a hurry.

3. St. Louis Rams: The Rams get a shiny new toy on Brandon Lloyd. That will hardly spark them to a win over the Cowboys

The Cowboys will pass all over the field against a mediocre Rams defense. St. Louis has no idea how to punch in a score from the red zone furthering their woes.
