2011 NBA Playoffs: Chicago Bulls' Taj Gibson Puts Dwyane Wade on a Poster
The first half of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Chicago Bulls and the Miami Heat was notable for its defensive energy.
Within a minute, both Dwyane Wade and LeBron James had dunked in transition, but before long the Bulls managed to keep the Heat primarily in the half-court.
Neither James or Wade could match this aerial highlight from the Bulls' Taj Gibson.
Known more for his ability to guard any position, Gibson found himself in the lane and received the sweet assist from C.J.Watson.
Dwyane Wade has found himself on plenty of posters in the past, but he's not generally on the receiving end.
Gibson clearly had the step and had this been a regular season encounter, I suspect Wade would have moved aside and let the Bulls' forward finish with the flush.
But this is playoff basketball, and no one wants to give up an easy dunk.
For the record, Gibson converted the three-point play.
After a slow start by the home team, the Gibson slam acted as a catalyst for the Bulls to kick-start their offense. Suddenly, the ball started changing hands more quickly, and Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer hustled on the glass for a number of put-back efforts.
The Bulls had 14 second-chance points in the first half alone, with Noah and Boozer combining for five offensive boards.
The United Center has never been short of playoff highlights over the journey, but Gibson's dunk is up there with the best of the 2011 postseason.
And they always sound better with Marv Albert behind the microphone.
