Again, the Pac-10 again is faster at the wide receiver position. In fact, their 4.49 average is the exact same as the NFL Combine results above.
The SECโs 4.54 second average is the same as the NFL Combine results above as well. This might indicate that the NFL Combine results actually are representative of the speed in the league.
Letโs take a look at the wide receivers breakdown graphically.
Again, the Pac-10 possesses more speed at the top of the elite. However, unlike the running backs, the Pac-10 wide receivers do not fall off. Pac-10 receivers are faster at the top (top 15 wide receivers in terms of speed) and remain equal with SEC receivers in the middle-bottom tier of receivers in terms of speed (the 15-25 positions).
