NBA: Fantasy Basketball Rankings 151-200

Here is the first installment of my top 200 rankings. I will be starting from the bottom of the list and working my way up to No. 1 over the next few days.

-It has still not been decided if Wesley Johnson will start or come off the bench. And if he does start, whether it will be at the 2 or 3. Regardless, he should log 25–30 minutes a game for a team bereft of dominant players. He won’t be the number one scoring option, but if he gets 30 minutes a game, he should be able to log double digit points with some nice extras, like five to six rebounds a game. He has the potential to finish the year in the top 100.

-Brandon Rush is a wildcard. The Pacers are in need of a No. 2 scorer to go with Danny Granger, and they don’t want it to have to be PG Darren Collison. Rush currently sits behind Mike Dunleavy on the depth chart, but is the guy most capable of filling the number 2 scorers' shoes from a talent standpoint. His upside as far as point scoring is somewhere around 16 a game for this year, though it’s hard to predict more than 12 or 13.

-Demar Derozan is another sleeper who could blossom this year. He’s going to be competing for playing time along with Leandro Barbosa, who you’ll see I like more, but Derozan still has upside and can switch over to the 3 spot when Barbosa is in the game. I think 10 points, five boards, and a steal per game is a good expectation, though his ceiling is higher.

-A lot of people are higher on Rodrique Beaubois than I am, and based on potential alone, I can see why. I just don’t think he’ll get the playing time to blossom into a must own in fantasy systems this season. If you are in a keeper league, bump him up about 10 spots or so. With Kidd, Butler, and Terry not showing signs of slowing down I think he’s still a year away from significant fantasy contribution.

-Ronny Turiaf has the potential to go for eight points and eight boards per game with at least 1.5 blocks a game this year. Those aren’t dominant center stats, but if he puts those numbers up, he’ll outplay this ranking and where he is being drafted in most leagues as well.
