Barcelona vs Mallorca

There has not been a draw between these two sides in their last 16 matches with one another. And it only takes a quick glance at the team sheets to suggest that you wouldn't’t expect a draw to be on the cards this time round.

The fact of the matter is that when it comes to home matches Barca are supposed to be unbeatable, whilst that might not be entirely the case it would still take something special to deny them the three points which they sorely need this season. Generally speaking this match favours the Catalans not that this will surprise many people and it is set to happen again.

Mallorca are having an average start to the season, lurking in mid table obscurity. A loss here is not dangerous to them in anyway and you can bet nobody will be panicking if they draw against Barcelona.

Unfortunately, Mallorca don’t seem to travel all too well recently, they have lost their last three away games and there are a few better teams to play when you’re trying to break a stint of poor form than Barcelona. Any result that isn’t an embarrassing loss would be more than adequate for Mallorca.

Real Madrid vs Deportivo La Coruna

Well, last week was an embarrassment for Mourinho’s men, his side is worth a small fortune and has some of the biggest names in football in their attack, and yet they didn’t manage to find that all important goal to beat Levante.

Those sorts of matches are the games which Real Madrid are expected to walk through and make the other team look foolish. Real are tight at the back as would be expected and having only conceded one goal so far domestically they don’t look too likely to lose this match.

Real are in fifth place at the moment, which might be considered a nightmare, but it could be worse they could be under performing to the extend Deportivo are.

The away side are in something of a pickle, this is pretty much as bad as it gets for an established side. They’ve not won a single match since the start of the season and whilst they are not one of the best teams in the side, most people would expect them to be settling round the midway point at the very least at this moment in the season.

Last year Deportivo la Coruna lost both of these fixtures and even getting a draw is going to take a lot, but at least they aren’t playing Real Madrid when they are on top of their game.
