Premier League Week 27 Previews: Sunday's Matches
Manchester City welcomes Liverpool to their home turf as the Eastlanders seek to solidify their fourth place position. Emmanuel Adebayor is in a pretty good scoring run, so expect many balls to be directed towards him.
Liverpool enter this tie after a devastating loss and if they wish to remain their hopes of the fourth spot in the league, they can turn it into a reality starting with the clash against the Citizens. Fernando Torres is still out along with Yossi Benayoun, but the Reds, aside from the Gunner’s clash, have been quite consistent and successful with three wins and two draws. Expect a very close match that might boil down to injury time.

Martin O’Neill’s men are still in contention for the fourth spot in the league, as Manchester City, who is the current fourth place occupant, is only three points ahead. Hence, the clash with Burnley is even more important, as the Villans have no room for error.
Burnley has a battle to fight of their own, as they sit 19th in the league and face relegation if they don’t get out of it as soon as possible. Playing at home will give Ashley Young and the likes even more stadium to play in what should be an easy game for Aston Villa.
Wigan somehow managed to pull themselves far out of the relegation zone after a string of draws and wins. The Spurs have slowed down a little bit as of late, managing only a single win in the last six games.
However, the fixture is one between a top of the table team and a mid-low table team and hence, a lopsided game is expected. Don’t be surprised by an extremely offensive Spurs lineup as Harry Redknapp knows that his men are very close to the Champions League ticket, yet are quickly falling out of the race for the ticket after three games without a win.
