Monday Recap
Newcastle left record signing Miguel Almiron on the bench for the trip to Molineux:
The visitors had few chances in a cagey first half. Salomon Rondon had two efforts comfortably saved before seeing a shot diverted wide just before half-time by Conor Coady:
Wolves had plenty of possession but found it difficult to break down a typically resolute Rafa Benitez side.
Raul Jimenez fired a good chance over the bar from a Matt Doherty cross, while Jonny tested Dubravka with a low shot.
Doherty wasted a glorious chance to open the scoring at the start of the second half. The defender arrived at the far post from a corner but could only direct his header over the bar from close range.
Newcastle eventually broke the deadlock through Hayden. Fabian Schar slid a pass in to the midfielder, and his shot beat Rui Patricio at his near post:
Almiron arrived on 72 minutes for his Newcastle debut and received a warm welcome from the Toon Army:
Wolves pressed for an equaliser in the closing stages and were rewarded with a late equaliser. Substitute Adama Traore crossed for Boly to bundle home at the far left post under the attention of Dubravka:
The goal was a big blow for Newcastle, who remain just a point off the relegation zone, while Wolves have now gone six games unbeaten.
